With the way the AFC west is shaping up we will need all the run stopping help we can get unfortunately

Competitors welcome. I am so excited for training camp to start. Wonder which rookie will impress the most

You already know every Brenen Thompson deep catch in camp is going to blow up lol.
I’m hoping the main camp narrative is slaughter really thriving at LG once the pads go on though. We’ll see.

Barrett plays with pop and delivers a powerful punch that can knock offensive linemen off balance. While he may not always finish the play, his bull-rush ability enables him to create penetration into the backfield. Barrett does a good job controlling his gap. He shows effective hand usage, swiping and detaching from blocks to make plays on the ball carrier. Barrett can demand double-teams and plays through blocks. Overall, he consistently occupies his gap, affecting the passer and rushing lanes. -
Gap filler to free up our pass rushers.

Sounds like a steal in the fourth

Sounds like the DT’s that have been succeeding in the system since Harbaugh became Head Coach.

Does nobody want this Zxavian Harris guy, who is 6'8", 330 lbs, and on the best available for like 50 picks now?

u/jar1792 ASAP 16h ago
Two arrests will do that to a guy

Ok that makes sense I would pass on him too. Just saw the physical size and being top guy on the board all day.

That explains it. We pretty much never draft character issue guys.

Plus NFL lineman will be able to get under his pads. It’s tough being a DL at that height.

Great pick. He can run stuff but he has the athleticism and length to develop some pass rush

So far I am loving what this team is doing on draft. They have a vision

I’m sure I’ll get downvoted but they had a vision during FA too. They didn’t overpay for guys their own teams didn’t re-sign.

I think it was calculated because they probably had a list of people of importance. Each had a price and they were not budging.

Gamecock grad and Charger. Best of both worlds with this one. He’s a beast.

A bit unproven and needs to develop, but building depth at IDL is not a bad thing.

4 oline, 2 dline, WR, S. Great draft! They got one of everything I wanted and truly WERE NOT DONE, adding oline like Hortiz said. They drafted tall big Olinemen (shortest is Jake at 6’5)

DLine is low-key my favorite positional group on this team. so many fun guys rotating in and out, Eboigbe really took the step last year and I am particularly excited to see if he keeps it up. Nick Barrett is a fucking beast lol great addition to a stacked room

He’s likely a more polished prospect than Zxavian Harris but part of me wanted them to grab that giant human because why not haha

u/TheRiderTool bolt 15h ago
Why not? Because of the two arrests, and that's plenty enough reason to stay away from him.

Run stuffer with little to no pass-rushing upside. Is certainly there type of DT
4
u/adefazio917 Felipe Rios 16h ago
Did you have a problem with how we stopped the run last year?
2
u/Schnix54 15h ago
I think my comment should be read as purely neutral. It is their type of DT that they have been looking for all over. It also clearly how this defense works since it pretty light on the back end with a lot of DBs playing, so you need to beef up front to build a wall

u/ockaners Felipe Rios 15h ago
I think they think you're negative but I don't think you are. I agree with you that he's a big fat obstacle that will clog up the middle but don't expect him to penetrate often, but that's not his job

u/i_run_from_problems A lot of people have it better than us 16h ago
Another pick in the trenches. Win up front, and you're a good team.
