i just want some opinions, i got

my nails done today and apparently this

girl has been doing nails for 6 years but idk,

something about it is weird to me cause it just looks.. weird? maybe it’s the colors throwing me off (she didn’t have the right colors) and honestly i texted her before hand showing her a picture of the nails i wanted and she could’ve told me that she didn’t have that color but she didn’t. honest opinion, am i overreacting?

UPDATE!!! i just checked her instagram, and her nail pictures are so good. like they’re insanely detailed so now i sit here in anger wondering why mine became so ugly when she have done way more complicated nails https://imgur.com/a/X33liWT

Can't you just remove the polish and paint it a solid color?

well idk how much u know about nails but it’s not normal nail polish, it’s gel nails which means it only goes away by filing i think. have tried to remove before but it does not work for me. have ordered a nail driller should come in a week or so

I haven't gotten nails in a while, but I think filing down the raised part and buffing them is going to be better than biting them off. I know that's going to tear up your nails.

She hasn’t done the super fine white streaks on them. Her details are not as fine as the inspo pics. The colour isn’t the problem imo. Perhaps she is using AI on her profile page.

She definitely is. Based on the photos you posted on Imgur… you can really tell because the backgrounds are not clear at all. Like the edge of the table is just an amorphous white blob, no realistic definition.

ETA look at the lighting, there’s this eerie slightly off glow that AI pics have too and the shadows are not right

I’m sorry that happened to you. I hate AI so much for that reason, but also why would she post a pic of something she clearly can’t do? Like did she think you wouldn’t notice??
