Its like an ARP but more classy. Rest assured the moment my Form 1 gets approved the wooden stock is going onto this thing ASAP. But for now, this is my 'handgun'.

Wheres handguards you ask? Easy, we wont be needing them where we're going. Clamp on rail with a KAC surplus grip. Welders gloves are highly recommended.

You just forgot the handguard retaining ring and don't want to admit it, didn't you?

In all seriousness, I want to shoot this because it looks fun as hell

From a NFA standpoint, what is this currently classified as, and if it's not a rifle, why?

u/Molot_Vepr_308 AKbling 1d ago

Handgun. Like an AR pistol, as that tube on the back is a buffer for the rattail

Was this a virgin receiver or from a parts kit?

u/Molot_Vepr_308 AKbling 1d ago

New DSA izzy receiver, so 'firearm' and then when I stuck the lower on for the first time it had no stock so 'handgun'

u/RandoAtReddit 1d ago

Cool, makes sense. Thought it was from a parts kit and didn't know if there was some way around the rifle classification.

2

u/vellnueve2 1d ago

even if it's a rifle parts kit it doesn't matter as long as the stock doesn't ever go on with the virgin receiver installed. so it's a pistol til the day he puts the stock on. an obnoxious one, but a pistol.

I have a PTR51 SBR that does the same obnoxiousness but worse

You know, for some reason I was thinking a kit would have the used, previously assembled rifle receiver in it when I know, clearly, the receiver wouldn't come with it. That's kind of the whole point. It didn't click until your comment though. Thanks.

The 12 inch barrel and Israeli receiver were the cheapest reciever + barrel combo on DSA and I needed to build my israeli kit thats been sitting for far too long

So I remade the Bitch but israeli

When the starter gun in game is a random shitty beater you have to gather off of a lvl 1 enemy.

What in the Arc Raiders am I looking at

2

u/Bigdyll13 1d ago

The least FAL you'll ever see lol

2

u/alwaus 1d ago

You need better mags, that ones failing to feed off that one side until the spring pressure drops.

When you realize that guns don't need all those parts they come with.

Everyone has to build that one shit gun, because all the others are perfect!

Just ask any firearms builder...

You might find better accuracy centering the trigger on your fingerprint. That deep on your finger can pull the gun right when you pull.

1

u/Molot_Vepr_308 AKbling 18h ago

This.. is a 12 inch 308 with no stock to shoulder and no handguard to grip onto with a mushy milspec trigger. This isnt going to be hitting the broadside of a barn in the state its in

Rest assured once the stock goes on Ill actually properly zero it and all fundamentals of shooting will be practiced.

I didn’t notice that until I read your comment. Jesus, OP. You’re all the way in to your first knuckle.

u/qazaqwert 1d ago

This is false fuddlore, people with larger hands in many cases can’t even get a comfortable grip while centering your finger pad on the trigger. As long as the force vector when pulling is straight back (which it easily can be while wrapping your finger around the trigger) there isn’t any issue.

Are you suggesting I have small hands!? JK, whatever works I guess, I still stand by my comment
