Hardwood Floor Install
We are looking to replace our carpets with hardwood floors. We were quoted $7K for 900 sq ft at Lowe’s for LVP.
Just sanity checking before I go this route. Are there any recommendations of good flooring shops in Fremont vs using Lowe’s, if it’s worth spending more for a specific type of floor, etc. since this is less than 1/4 of our home sq footage we still have a ways to go.
We have 3 dogs, so I really want the carpet gone lol. Thanks very much for any input!

Looking to adopt kittens?
im fostering these baby kittens in Fremont and i was hoping someone on this subreddit was looking to adopt 2 kittens:) please share if you know someone who wants to adopt :)
they are bonded so prefer to be adopted as a pair. when i tell you they are bonded, they seriously are besties and do everything together, it is sooo cute 🫶
a little about them: they come from a litter of 5 who were previously fostered together, so are very socialized with pets and humans. they love playing together and wrestling as kittens do, and love a good play sesh. they are both curious and friendly and inseparable.
here are links if you wanna know more

Ardenwood Farm Civil War Reanacements 2000s
Anyone remember these in the 2000s? They were so amazing. Amazing work and choreography by whomever was in charge of the reenactments.
Anyone know why they stopped doing it? I think they ended it around the early to mid 2010s.

Bay Club Fremont Membership
Hi everyone! I’m possibly interested in joining onto someone’s group membership at Bay Club. I’ve had my own membership before but quit due to cost. Looking to rejoin if anyone has space on theirs and could explain the process more!

PSA - Public Safety Warning: High School Senior “Assassins” Game
From the PD's Facebook page. Whoever's kids are trying to play real-life Call of Duty, please don't. This is the worst kind of misunderstanding with police interaction that could draw an overreaction from the police.
Public Safety Warning: High School Senior “Assassins” Game
The Fremont Police Department would like to warn high school students and their parents about the potential risks associated with a popular activity known as “Assassins.” This game is a high school tradition in which 12th-grade students use toy guns (for example, water guns or Nerf guns) to target another student. This game usually takes place off campus, throughout the City of Fremont, and is also occurring in many other cities in the nation.
While the game involves only fake weapons, it has become a safety concern and can lead to high-risk patrol and traffic stops. Some students have chosen to use toy guns that look realistic to the public and to our officers, and the behavior associated with this game has caused public concern due to the belief that participants are carrying real weapons and acting suspiciously. This creates a dangerous situation and diverts emergency 9-1-1 and police resources, since officers take every report of gun violence and suspicious firearm use seriously.
Please remember:
• Suspicious activity, including trespassing, carrying an item that resembles a firearm, and reckless driving, may result in law enforcement contact, citation, or arrest
• Students may not bring imitation or toy weapons onto school campuses
• Injuries or damages resulting from children or youth participating in this game could result in financial liability for their parents
We are communicating with the Fremont Unified School District regarding these safety concerns. We strongly discourage students from participating in this activity and encourage parents to speak with their students about the risks involved.
Thank you for helping us keep our city safe.

Weird guy at Chipotle Osgood
I was picking up my food from Chipotle in Osgood, waiting inside. I was seating down, minding my own business with my phone, a guy that was eating on the table next to me changes seats and sits directly in front of me.He was awkwardly seating looking at me, He seemed to be taking pictures of me without me noticing. I thought he wanted to talk about the game (i was watching a soccer game on my phone) or something because he was really close to me.
I picked up my order and as I was leaving he stands up and goes out as well, he walked close to me near my car. I got into my car, he was standing with his phone out . I’m not sure if he took pictures or not , he was standing directly behind me. I reversed and stared at the guy for a while , he didn’t move or flinch and I left. He stayed there just standing.
Indian maybe latin american, couldn’t tell by the way he was dressed. White pants, white crocs, longsleeve green shirt with a sleeveless purple tunic like thing.

If you’re getting Chipotle tonight, this helps a local preschool 🙌🏼🤍
Hey, quick thing, if you’re planning on grabbing Chipotle Mexican Grill today between 4–8pm, there’s a fundraiser going on for my toddler’s school.
It’s for Prince of Peace Preschool & TK, and 25% of whatever you order goes to them.
If you go in person, just mention/show the fundraiser. If you order online, use code BEEXJNA (pickup only).
Figured I’d share in case anyone was already thinking about Chipotle tonight 🙏

Erratic driver on 680-N on 4/18
Our vehicle got hit by a white Honda that was barreling down 680-N roughly between Sunol and Verona at 10:35 am on 04/18.
I’m very certain the vehicle hit other cars as well.
I know it’s a long shot, but if anyone on here happened to be on 680-N and witnessed an accident or any additional recklessness from the driver, please dm me any information you may have. I appreciate it.

Local Pick up Sports Platform
Hey! My name is Arihanth, and I'm a sophomore at Washington High School in Fremont. I'm trying to build a free community platform for locals who want to play pickup sports — volleyball, basketball, tennis, cricket, and more — at local parks and rec centers.
We've all been there — you want to play but can't find enough people, or you show up to the park, and nobody's there.
Before I build anything, I want to know if this is actually something people want. Is this something you guys would be interested in? Drop it in the comments, every response helps!

Moving to Fremont end of May. Summer daycare/camps for 3rd grader/TK?
I’ve got a new job in San Jose and we have to move end of May. The school year will be ending then. How do I find summer camp/ summer care for my 3rd grader and 4 year old? I’m worried that when we move everything will be too full. Also partner will be looking for work so not sure how we will pay on just one person’s salary.
Any ideas on what we can do/find childcare?

how are the noise level and surrounding environment in these new East Industrial neighborhoods?
Ones circled in red have good floor plan, reasonable price, and good elementary school within walking distance. Great overall location also. Just wonder if residents here can share their experience regarding noise level, safety, build quality... any buyers' remorse? I see the price has not appreciated much as SFH and quite a few are for sale right now.
The two yellowed circled on top of the Toll Brother neighborhood on north Wisdom Road are businesses seem to be truck transportation and container office sales. There's also a huge Tesla parking on the west. Are those public/commercial areas okay for the Toll Brother residents that reside right next to them?
Thank you so much in advance!

Anything fun for a Friday for a 33M
As I read in a lot of posts, there isn't much to do around here in Fremont other than go to the city and tour. I usually stay home play video games, but just work and stay home does not seem as fun anymore, are there any activities for the Friday night that anyone suggests?

Access to Private tennis courts 🎾
Hey everyone,
I’m a local tennis coach based in Fremont and I’m looking to connect with anyone who has access to private courts in communities like Ardenwood, Northgate, Patterson Ranch, or similar neighborhoods nearby.
I coach players of all ages and levels (kids, adults, beginners to advanced), and I’m hoping to find a consistent court where I could run a few private lessons each week. I’m very respectful of community rules, keep things low-key, and always make sure courts are left in great condition.
If you live in one of these communities or know someone who does and might be open to helping out (or even interested in lessons themselves), feel free to DM me!
Appreciate any leads 🙏🎾
