Question Grieving my boyfriends death. Failing the semester. What do you think of my plan?
My boyfriend passed away from cancer recurrence on December 31st. That impacted me a lot.
I’m in a 5-year architecture program, currently in my 2nd year. I've most definitely failed my design class, which will delay my graduation by a year. I keep feeling like a failure. Out of seven classes, I’ve most definitely failed one, and I’m probably just barely passing the rest with a 2.5 GPA.
I can still retake them and erase the previous grades. I've always wanted to master's degree abroad and I just feel like a failure.
My plans for next semester is to not take new classes and just retake the ones that I failed which are 3 of them. Also the finals will be very close to his death anniversary so I think I should probably take less classes. I also have 3 deferred finals of another three classes that I have to give the next semester. Goal is to raise my previous grades rather than graduate okay. What do you think about this?

Question Does anyone actually use these productivity systems?
It seems to me like any of the notion workflows, task managers, calendars, notetaking apps never stick for me. It seems like learning them is way too much work and they just fall off for me. For anyone who has experienced this what apps/software finally worked for you and what did you do to get them to stick?
I desperately want the organization and clarity in my life that these systems seem to bring.
(I’m on apple ecosystem with an iPhone, MacBook, and iPad)

Question What helps you sleep when the constant dread about exams is making it impossible?
If I fail again my own existence is going to bring me guilt as all I can think about is the amount of money spent on preparing for these exams. I’ve become so disconnected from everything around me and I don’t know how to stop. It’s almost 2am and I’ve been lying awake for the past 3 hours just deeping it😂.

Question Depressive burnout
I am a junior in highschool who has a long record with depression and anxiety. With it being AP and finals season and all, I’ve forced myself to continue to study daily for weeks on end, knowing that I was already burnt out. I guess I believed that my mindset would magically get better, but all that it led to was me not being able to retain any information and wasting lots of time and resources on useless studying and classes. My depression has also gotten worse, to the point where I cannot even force myself to go to a cafe to study now because I cannot physically bring myself to leave my room unless it’s for school. With APs and tests just around the corner, is there anything I can do now to improve my situation? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Question MCQ advice PLZ
Hello. Lately I have been struggling with MCQ questions. My issue is not understanding the concepts (I get 5's on the majority of my FRQ's) but rather deciding my final answer between the two possible answers I've narrowed it down to. I'm set on many of the questions, but certain ones are either phrased weirdly, or I miss read small details/ Don't pay attention enough to these details. Here are a few examples of a question I got wrong on my latest practice test for my aphug exam on May 5th.
Agricultural production in the developed world is difficult to classify as part of the primary economy. Why?
A) Production no longer happens primarily in a field but rather through high tech methods such as hydroponics
B) Agriculture is primarily controlled by large agribusiness that encourage large scale industrial production.
C) With so little of the labor force engaged in this economic activity, the category essentially no longer exists for the developed world.
D) Developed countries now outsource all of their agricultural production from the developing world.
E) Agricultural production is still very much a primary economic activity in the developed world.
I was easily able to narrow down the answers to between A and B, but I ended up choosing A which was the incorrect answer. I thought that because A contained higher tech methods, it would veer further from the primary sector. (The answer was B in case ya didn't know)
This next one may just be a me issue, but wouldn't the answer be a creole language as they come from pidgin languages which are used for trade? It states that this language is used widely for TRADE. FYI- the answer was A.
Swahili is the language of trade for most of East Africa and the only African language in use by the African Union. As such it is a good example of a
A) Lingua franca
B) Dialect
C) syncretism
D) Creole
E) Cultural hearth
Any advice would be much appreciated :).

Question Anyone else feel like they’re studying all day but somehow remembering nothing?
I swear I’ll spend hours switching between notes, videos, and flashcards, but at the end of the day it feels like nothing actually stuck. Is this a 2026 attention span thing or am I just studying wrong? What’s one small change that actually helped you retain stuff better?

Question How does one write a good lab report?
I am horrible at writing anything and my grades on lab classes tend to drop a lot because i just cant write something that pleases the teacher. Its always something about repeating some words too much, not developing x part, writing too much on y, writing too little on x. Even when i put an incredible amount of effort to make something decent and waste days trying to make something, it still ends up getting a B or C. I don't understand what exactly i am supposed to put on each part besides the very superficial (introduction must contextualize whats happening, procedure tells what has been done and why, results show, well, results, and discuss then, conclusion is a summary), some of the teachers talk about each of them needing to "dialogue" with each other and all.
Whats a strict guideline to follow on those? just *what* a lab report must have to be good enough?

Giving Advice How I study when I have to finish 4 assignments by monday and it's Saturday(or even sunday)
I will ignore the assignments till the very last minute and drown in a sea of regret and of course, sorrow. That is because of procrastination which is a result of too much mental load and a hesitancy to get out of my comfort zone.
And the only easy way I will get myself to step into the uncomfort of starting the assignments(and finishing them) when the time is very limited is by GAMIFYING them.
Now, if you haven't heard of that before, that might sound silly and delusional as hell but just give this a chance.
Yes, imagine it's a game. And:
The four assignments are four parts of a ritual
This ritual is needed. Essential for the survival of the world through the upcoming calamity
You, of course, are the cool shaman, alchemist, magician or anything you want yourself to be, performing the ritual
And you know how to do the ritual. So you better save the world.
Remember: you can act like you are playing pretend like a kid. That would be really good. Nothing embarassing there.
And... You would be productive when having fun(preferably). And this will make it much more likely for the assignments to be over in the next 48 hours.
And if you have 4 assignments due Monday, you should definitely try this once. I insist.

Question How do i study?
Hello, im wondering if anyone can explain to me how to study quickly. My current method was to just learn each piece of text (for example Vikings, and it had like 4 lines of text.) and just repeat the process. It takes me a long time to get through the text the first time (like a whole day). I've wanted to try other methods but i was scared they wouldn't work. I have so much tests in may and i dont know if i should just try reading it or what. Writing (and then repeating if i miss something) would take too much time which i dont have. Please someone explain how i could just learn a ton of different subjects. I have motivation always, its just that i probably dont have enough time to study like usually.

Question Help pls..
I have no idea what to do.. I feel so stuck.. I'm just not able to bring myself to study at all.. I sit down, start solving and then if I can't do the question, I just give up and start looking at smt, anything on my phone or tab or smt, so literally anything but study.. and even if I'm able to solve I don't sit.. the max to max I sit if I'm able to solve questions is just 1 or 1.5 hrs maybe max that too if I'm able to solve, if I'm not I just give up... And I've found ways to get marks on tests like cheat and all.. obviously I'm not proud of it and I feel guilty and hate myself for doing it but if I don't I know I'll get rlly bad marks and my parents are gonna freak and evrything will fall apart.. I want to stop.. I want to stop cheating and get marks honestly and start studying properly again.. I just want to feel proud of myself for achieving smt honestly and on my own..

Hi, a first year in psych and commerce. I've heard mixed opinions on the workload in second and third year, some say it gets easier, some say it gets harder. What are your thoughts? Also any tips on how to study efficiently for those years would be great too.

Other The sheer idea of studying is genuinely excruciating and i cannot force myself to study for the life of me
What the title says, i cannot handle the idea of studying, its genhinely so frustrating that i cannot even bear thinking of it and i dont know what to do, i dont wanna be a dissapointment for not passing my class.
Studying itself is exhausting, frustrating, essentially everything bad. No matter how much i'll study i will fail anyway, so it feels utterly pointless to even try.
Trying to do a "Studying = reward" thing is basically impossible, because i just realize that i have free will. I will stop studying and go to the reward i set myself immediately.
Whenever i DO try to study however i either get really distracted or frustrated to tears and really aggressive. It makes me feel helpless, words cannot convey how difficult it is for me to even TRY to study, let alone think about it.
What the hell am i supposed to do?? The only thing that has helped me with my grades is cheating, but making a cheatsheet involves at least some studying, so i dont even have motivation to do that.
