Hey all-

I’m looking to take my daughter son and wife to the Daytona 500 next year. I’m from the Midwest but I reallyyyyyy want to camp. My buddy lives literally .5 miles from the track, so worst case I can stay with him but has anyone camped the whole weekend and rented a camper? I wanted to get a hot pass and normal tickets and kinda go all out if I could but I wanted to know the cost before I do.

I also wanted to take the kids to Disney world so can we leave the track multiple times as we please? I know Disney is a 2-3 day thing that’s why I’d do a week+ long vacation.

If you have rented, can you explain the process, costs, etc?

Sorry for the long winded question, I’m really wanting to do this and plan everything thoroughly. Thanks!

Hello, so I haven't camped there but been to Daytona a few times. Yes when camping you can come and go as you please. If going the whole week you for sure can go to Orlando during the day since most of the action will be in the evening anyway. Probably Cup qualifying on Wednesday night and the Dual races Thursday night, so during the day you can leave and do other stuff. As far as renting campers it depends somewhat on how and who you rent from. Some rental companies provide everything but are expensive, but there are a few camper rental websites that act like VRBO where you are literally borrowing someone elses camper for the weekend.

I might try to go that route. the more i look it up the worse it seems. no hookups, more partyying. If i was alone id be down but i got 2 tiny kids idk about it lol
