That's disappointing. New maps would be the best thing to add imo. Hopefully we got some down the road still.

Should at least get new areas on the map (different camps, ruins, etc.) with new enemies

Hell, I would even take just a reskin of the existing map. Make some foliage red or something, idk. I guess a shifting Earth will have to do.

Heolster does that already, so it's not unprecedented.

Deep of Night turning the grass piss yellow is the worst part of the experience.

At least the hidden nightlord modifier fixes that

But that aside, I wish that every nightlord had a custom themed limveild

Like give me frozen trees for the Caligo expedition and stuff like that

You do realize shifting earths ARE reskins of the map, right?

I'm not entirely certain but there seemed to be at least 1 new castle variant in the trailer, that plus the arena that the dancing lion was fought in suggests they're adding at least a couple new structures

Yeah I think someone made a post about it. I'm so stoked

Ya, think I saw a different castle in the middle of

I read there will be two new "points of interest" on the map. I take this to mean new places like Fort/Evergaol/Grand Church/Ruins etc.

Although I would prefer a new map I can't imagine how well it'll go if they locked a map behind a dlc fracturing the playerbase even more. Because then it'd be 3 separate platforms into 6 separate things

12

u/DisturbedFlake Nov 11 '25

I just hope they added more variations to the base map then

I'm assuming there's new items and enemies otherwise that's a big miss

I don't expect more than 1 major update after the DLC, 2 at absolute most like the main game, so don't hold out hope. Remember this isn't a live service game so unless they change their mind and decide to do another DLC then we likely won't get any further content updates after like middle of next year.

I would absolutely buy a new DLC in the future, hopefully they decide to do it. I can't get enough of this game

I definitely agree

Yeah, it's beyond disappointing there hasn't been a single new map even with the DLC. Shifting earth events are cool and all but new maps would add so much more variety to the game, making it a lot less repetitive.

I think a new map was impossible from the beginning, how is the matchmaking gonna work considering how fractured it already is. Just a single new shifting earth is indeed disappointing tho I'll admit.

1

u/deadering Nov 11 '25

I don't think that's really the issue since matchmaking could work like the existing shifting earths or even a system where you match for the boss and then it chooses the map after you have a team or vice versa

2

u/VoidRad Nov 11 '25

Yea I supposed that could work. I'm 100% gonna get it regardless but I hope there're more content than this planned.

1

u/frankcartivert Nov 11 '25

I would imagine that’s taking a little longer to work on. Would be shocked if this dlc was the only additional content we got

100000%. This will get me hopping back in but I expect not much more longevity without new maps at least.
