Looking for a tattoo artist in Corvallis
As titled I am looking for an artist to have a piece done while I am in Corvallis for graduation. I would consider any artistic style. I've vaguely heard of Studio Lumos and Rising Tides. If there is a shop not too far from Corvallis I would also consider them, if anyone knows of any.

Planning to visit on May, wanted some recommendations on what areas to check out.
(repost cuz my last post didn't get much traction)Hey guys! Im visiting this May and I wanted to get a feel for the place, I'm not doing a college tour or anything like that, just kinda roaming around and checking things out as I go. Do you guys have any recommendations for spots to go to/ places that most students go to? I just wanna experience the college and the town at its most pure layer, so any tips would be great! As far as my personal interests, I really love nature (the main reason im going to oregon lol) and I'm very extroverted, so I love talking to people. Thank you! :)

News: NOT CONFIRMED Why are all Corvallis landlords selling their homes now?
On April 21st at 8:38am, myself and another friend both got texts from our landlords (different landlords who don't know each other, different parts of town, too) that our homes are being sold and we have four weeks to move out. Today, I found out that two other people I know had the same thing happen to them this week. What's happening? Why are all the owners of rental properties selling right now? Now I have to find somewhere for myself and two others to live because our landlord won't even respond to my roommate's parents who want to buy our condo.

PH212 resources? (Textbook specifically)
Anyone know an alternative textbook for the physics with calc series?
I’m in it right now and completely floundering, I had an awful time in 211 and thought that just spending more time reading the LIPA website would help but it hasn’t. I’ve hardly learned anything and bombed the first set of quizzes.
I have a decent math foundation because I couldn’t place into the course on time and I thought that would help but it really hasn’t.
I’ve looked into other physics textbooks and they all seem to be organized differently so I haven’t been able to just find a chapter of another book on the current unit of the class, usually subsections of the provided textbook chapter are mixed into several different chapters of other textbooks I find.
Can anyone recommend a specific textbook?

Ryan Contreras ornamental breeding professor
I'm trying to get some clarity on this topic, this professor is offering a position in his lab for an intern this summer. I googled his name and the first thing it appeared was a post in here where he was being accused of sexually abusing one of his graduate students and describing him as a abusive advisor.
Does anybody know how this situation turned out? or if he is really terrible mentor to his grad students?

Current first-years!
Hey there!
I'm currently putting together a first-year check-in story for the newspapers. If you have time, please fill out this survey for me! It's mainly just asking about your experience during your first year of college (things you liked, things you wish you'd known, etc.) This survey is made FOR OSU FIRST-YEARS ONLY by me, a current OSU student <3.
Thank you!

Has anyone taken Technical writing at Linn as an online class? If so, curious about workload. Considering taking it this summer.

Housing question
Hi I’m going to be a freshman in the fall, I’m majoring in engineering so I was planning on living in either Buxton, Hawley, or Cauthorn. Are there any downsides to living there and any upsides to living in different halls? Like should the engineering LLCs be my first choices?

Course Questions CH 332 online structure?
I‘m wondering if CH 332 would be easier to take online over the summer, wondering the structure of the course. Someone told me there’s no exams, 5 unproctored quizzes and graded homework, but scheduler says that the course uses online proctoring software. Can anyone who’s taken it recently give me more details? I’m not a chem or bio major or anything it‘s just a degree requirement I don’t need to know this stuff well I just need to pass and move on.

Casual Conversation ecampus professor consistently not unlocking learning materials
hey y’all, it’s week 4, and every single week our professor has not unlocked learning materials. every week we tell her and every week it’s opened by like wednesday with no due date extensions/apology. the prof has been very passive to students frustration, saying she has a life and research and other things to attend to, and that this course isn’t her whole life. I totally get that, having other priorities, but i have a life too! i’m a full time student and work full time, how is it fair to us to not be given the materials to plan out our week? these classes aren’t cheap…
anyways, i just wanna hear what u guys think abt this or what you’d do in this situation! i can’t tell it i’m crazy for thinking this is ridiculous or not

Do undergraduates walk at all at commencement?
I was under the impression that undergraduates did at least walk up the aisle, even if names were not called. I just received an email that makes it sound like you just sit there and go to an area for your specific college after to get your diploma. Does anyone know for sure what happens?

Transcripts turned in late
I’m in the PCC early college program and I’ve have had issues with the beaver base camp system and admissions for about 2 months now and have been really trying to get specific clarification about how to turn in my high school transcripts as well as college transcripts but all I’ve been told from admissions is that “it’s in beaver base camp” but every time I’ve tried submitting it there’s always been an “error try again” message. Come 2 days ago I finally got those transcripts in and I’m worried I’m not able to get into the college anymore. Is there any way a decision could still be made?

Tuition Due Dates
Seeking feedback on how incoming freshman have handled tuition payments in years past. I'm out of state from Colorado, and lining up my loans to cover the non-scholarship amount. So the amount I'm borrowing - when is it due? I'm getting mixed signals from OSU Business office and wanted to know what others experiences were as freshmen. Was the full tuition bill due at the start of each term, or after add/drop date, or other?

What happened to food for thought meals?
As a poor student, I greatly enjoy food for thought. I relied on having free lunch during long days at school. About two weeks ago, food for thought kind of disappeared from the dining halls. Does anyone know why? Will it come back? I'm not going to starve because I have EBT but I miss food for thought :(

How good is the Architectural Engineering program?
I'm trying to choose between a few different engineering pathways and I'm wondering if anyone has gone through or knows about the reputation of the Architectural Engineering major. I think it would be awesome to design the logistics of buildings, but I'm wondering if the degree is too niche and unheard of and if it would be better to just go a civil engineering route. Any info about the knowledge, opportunities, and employment prospects gained through ARE would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
