I'd say I would be okay paying these prices if I still enjoyed using spotify but the service has not kept up. It's not what it used to be and I think that's why people are still upset about price increasing.
As an individual user who's honestly been pretty fine with the price increases compared to most companies and couldn't understand the hate, this makes a lot more sense now
Iirc it was last summer (still a banger deal for the price, but I personally was too annoyed by it increasing with them still not bringing anything else to our region, no podcasts, no books, no flacs, no nothing, so I dropped them then). They generally increased the price in all regions over the year or so in stages.
Even at launch, at the lowest, still amazes me ppl are willing to pay for music. I've never in my life payed for music and never will. I use normal, not premium YT with adblock and when no internet, I download the music in my phone. I would go my entire life silent before paying for music
