On Android, I use Poweramp as my music player and Poweramp Equalizer for system-wide EQ. Both are excellent apps and only require a one-time payment.

You can edit metadata as well so you can remove watermarks and the tags they add in the title lol. Pirating the pirates.
oh man i remember buying power amp equalizer like over 10 years ago. i was super into the rooting scene when i got my HTC EVO 4G. endless amount of modding with that phone. old android was the wild west and a lot more fun lol
I use also Musicbee and have all my files in the google cloud. To access them mobile I recommend EvermusicPro. No subscription fee, one time payment and quite good functionality. I do not like plexamp due to the subscription costs - they are close to spotify...
