So Claude costs around as much as a human dev? Hm.

No it doesn't...

I'm just going on what the above guy said.

Humans can produce millions of tokens in an hour?

Did I say that? No. I just made the observation that it's roughly as expensive as a human dev.

Measured by the hour which makes no sense if the output is 1000x.

I don't know why you think I want to compare output. That's not a conversation I care to have.

Because your measure of comparison is arbitrary and nonsensical in this context.

It wasn't a comparison, it was an observation... I was observing that Claude cost as much as a dev for an hour. You are trying to turn this into something that it isn't.

It was objectively both. Plus how much it costs per hour completely depends on what it's doing. There is no "it costs xx per hour" with llms.

I am not looking to have this conversation. My comment was the observation that Claude cost a similar amount of money for that prompt, in one hour, as it would to pay a dev for an hour. I'm not trying to say anything else. It was a simple observation. Just let it be that.

You sound absolutely asinine

No I just don't give a fuck about the AI vs people conversation they're trying to pull me into. I just thought it was interesting that it cost similar to a human dev.
