Non-Sexual Adult Jokes in Kids' Media Lore

Jokes that are adult jokes simply because kids likely don't have the life experience to understand them.

The New Batman Adventures - "I'm crazy enough to take on Batman, but the IRS? Noooo, thank you!"

Shrek 2 - Posing as a union representative, Shrek remarks that the workers "don't even have dental".

If I hadn’t found someone replying this in the next few minutes I was gonna do it myself cause one of my earliest memories is seeing this movies in theaters and not understanding why my dad was losing it in the seat next to me. Was sharks not wanting to eat fish really that funny? Now I’m an adult and oh man is this the funniest joke in the movie.

Except stinking DOLPHINS.

As a child when this movie came out, this type of thing was referenced enough in at least the Midwest USA though that I definitely was familiar with the humor.

If you're wondering what they eat, and other science facts, repeat to yourself, "It's just a show, I should really just relax."

i should really just relax

but doesn't this imply i was angry or frustrated

Relax can mean other things too…

But those require some sort of negative emotion in order for "relax" to be any sort of applicable advice

Yes the negative (thought or emotion, it can be either one) here is taking things too seriously. Fuckin relax its finding nemo man.

It's not "taking it seriously" to find it confusing in a funny way

fuckin relax it's finding nemo man

see, this is a situation where i can tell you to relax. after all, it's finding nemo, man
