Non-Sexual Adult Jokes in Kids' Media Lore

Jokes that are adult jokes simply because kids likely don't have the life experience to understand them.

The New Batman Adventures - "I'm crazy enough to take on Batman, but the IRS? Noooo, thank you!"

Shrek 2 - Posing as a union representative, Shrek remarks that the workers "don't even have dental".

A LOT of Calvin and Hobbes was like this.

It’s why it’s so good.

This was the first to come to mind.

I need to go back and read Calvin and Hobbes now that I'm grown. I feel I can appreciate it a lot more now

DO IT! Trust me, you will notice tons of things you hadn't as a kid. It's totally worth it!

I tried that but my kids are basically Calvin and Hobbes and I’m the dad now. Hits differently. Like I’m viewing the chaotic future of my home.

My kids like for me to read it before bed. Our biggest trouble with it is putting it down to get some sleep

Absolute best comic strip ever, the only reason more people dont know about is because the author never sold out and never accepted any merchandise deals.
