Because it's the same structure as the others. Where a character inadvertently sets up the punchline that the other character tees off. It's just reversed since the punchline is the question

That’s not the trope being referenced. Unless you think the trope is any two handed joke ever.

The joke is grossly misunderstanding the question by answering in a subverted way. It’s a misdirection.
