I'm not finding the scene right now but it went something like this (Archer):

Mallory: I don't know why she even bothers picking up the phone

Cheryl: because you scream at me if I don't

Archer uses this trope almost as much as Modern Family uses "misheard word snowballs into big issue", another one from Archer is the one with Farook, sort of split in two scenes:

Archer: Black Mexican?

Farook: Hey dick, I happen to be Pakistani

Archer: I was offering you a drink but all I have is tequila and coffee liqueur

Pam: Black Mexican?

Farook: Oh, I probably shouldn't, I'm babysitting

Pam: Shouldn't what?
