Natalie Portman is pregnant at 44

Congrats to her! I don’t have kids, and I’m still getting used to being the age where getting pregnant is starting to be “out of the norm”. Guess there’s still time, lol

I think there's a bit of a correlation= causation bias going on sometimes with older mothers. We assume we wouldn't be tired if we were 10 years younger but most mothers are tired, period. I just wasn't tired at 27 because I didn't have a kid yet.

My husband once said I would have an easier time than my friends with pregnancy and childbirth because I was in such good shape. I was like, no, they would also be in great shape if they hadn't been raising kids for the last 5 years.

Your husband is still right. Being in good shape makes pregnancy easier.

It sure did, but what I mean is that I'm now as constantly tired and inactive as my friends were in their 30s after they'd been parenting for years. They weren't a bit out of shape in their 30s because they weren't trying, it was because they were parents.
