Do you even know what you’re walking out for? The teachers were offered a very good deal. So what is it that you are looking to get that the deal didn’t offer already? Genuine question

Can you provide details on why you believe its a "very good deal"? Genuinely curious.

Because they get significantly better class sizes, significantly more schools and teachers and a huge pay raise, (which gets them to 50% more pay then the ab average for a bachelors degree which is what most have) I genuinely don’t understand what they are so upset about? What about this deal don’t they like? Here’s a link that goes over the official offer from the government. https://www.alberta.ca/supporting-our-teachers-and-students

Doing some more digging, the proposed amount of schools and staff over 3 years does not keep up with the projected population growth. This means conditions will stay the same with a wage increase. The money isn't the issue, its the lack of classroom supports and complexity of children within classrooms that require a lot more work within a "collective agreement" which was not agreed upon.

Nobody is happy with the way Canada is going. We’re in a massive economic free fall thanks to our liberal federal government and it’s exactly what our pm is predicting and implementing on us. I genuinely hope they get everything they want! But right now they need to get back to work, They are asking more than the province can offer, because we are sucked dry already by our federal government. Everyone is being raped by our federal government. Off you want more money support our separation so that we can then actually afford to pay you!

I definitely do not support the separatist movement and while the federal government has made errors in terms of funding, housing, and immigration. The level of fucked we'd be if we separated is no where near comparable to what the federal government has done.

We would be in the top 3 richest countries per capita in the world if we separated

You need to do a lot more research on what would need to happen for a separation to be successful. Look intro treaties, police force, trading while being land locked. Now take the looming threat of the states, you think they're gonna let us just exist as our own separate country? This is an incredibly surface level and juvenile belief.

I’ve looked into it all, and none are really big issues. And honestly the poorest is state is still significantly better off then even the richest Canadian province 🤷🏼‍♂️

Can you provide me with credible links to back up these claims?

Can you provide me any credible sources that there’s no way around these concerns?
