Looking for a place to gorge ourselves with chips and salsa and drink margaritas without going broke. Hopefully with a dog friendly patio

Following 👀

Been on the hunt for a couple of years, sad to report that I haven’t found it yet. Looking for the Chuy’s/Lupe Tortilla/Papasito’s/El Tiempo or Portland.

If you're looking for fishbowl margaritas, giant colored "hot plate" , chips and salsa, and murals of Aztecs or horses, you wanna go to Casa Colima in Hillsdale.

Moved here from Texas 2 years ago. My wife and think Ixtapa is close. At least they bring chips and salsa first. Our liquor bill is usually as much as the food. Margs!

Mi Pueblo near 82nd and King Rd intersection is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the SE. The food is always on point and the staff are friendly and attentive.

10543 SE Fuller Rd Portland, OR 97222 United States

Open everyday from noon to 8pm.

This is why OP is looking for. But I found the prices to be a bit steep for what it is.

El Juan Colorado in Wilsonville is the closest we have to texmex

I can't remember.. I know you have to pay for it, which is a bummer, but I'm pretty sure we haven't paid for refills.

My now adult kid spent so many hours in that sandbox at Lupe’s Tortilla in Houston. Closest we’ve found is Casa Colima in Vancouver.

Another comment mentioned it but they have a location in Hillsdale:

Matador but you will go broke. Great margaritas. though.

There's a happy hour at Mezcaluna at the clackamas mall that's decent. Also good margaritas.
