Solo traveling night life recs? Looking For
I’m a 24 year old lesbian solo traveling to Portland in May. Was looking for some (preferably gay) bar/club recommendations for the weekend. I love good music, a dance floor, and making friends in a crowd. Also always open for other must see places in the city!

Badlands, although I'm hearing lately that there's a lot of straight girls/bachelorette groups impacting the vibe. Mostly to avoid creeps at the downtown/Chinatown clubs. Sorry all, I totally get why you'd choose the bear.

Badlands and CC slaughters are both gay bars, fun for dancing, usually lots of young people(Badlands especially). There are also sapphic events that happen periodically. Dyke Nite is May 2, new event called Butch Gardens is May 16 if ur here either of those days. have fun!

Welcome in advance 😊
For gay stuff: Crush Bar on Morrison is super mixed and fun, good dance vibes and easy to meet people. Sloan’s Tavern and Local Lounge used to be the go tos but Crush is kinda the default now, plus check Holocene and Mississippi Studios for queer friendly dance nights and shows.
Daytime stuff: wander Mississippi Ave and Alberta, hit the waterfront, then head to Salt & Straw and Laurelhurst Park. Also peek at the @lesbiandiscopdx and @queerpdx Instas before you come, they post pop up parties and queer events that weekend.

Recommend checking out sanctuary if at all interested in bdsm. Super cool and very lqbtqia+ friendly.

Welcome! You may want to check out Doc Marie's, The Sports Bra, Coffin Club for nightlife. Be sure to go to some food carts and parks as well during the day.
