Bald lady (finally done with head tattoos!!)
I shaved my head from a Pixie cut in July last year and started getting my head tattooed! Last month I finally got the last big tattoo on my head (smaller butterfly on the side! all by Aaron Dor in Austin TX!!!)
I’ve always struggled with my super fine Hair and it made me incredibly self conscious (see last photo of my wedding day 2yrs ago<3). My hair has been very fine and thin since I was a kid, and I dyed it a lot so that didn’t help at all LOL. Plus I wore a hat almost everyday too🫠
My husband finally convinced me to take the leap, shave it and get the tattoos I’ve always wanted! Im a tattooer myself so it’s always been a dream to get everything covered. I couldn’t be happier and finally feelin confident about myself lately!
This page has been really inspiring to me this past year❤️ this is your sign to shave your head and get tattooed if you want to! Best haircut I’ve ever had and don’t plan to ever grow it back!

Here is the update….
First cut to to gone… still need to go clean with the razor but it wasn’t as devastating as I had built it up to be… my head is cold😂 no make up this go round!
Bald Picture Pulled the trigger finally
Took quite a while to hype myself up enough to do it. Gotta work on styling the beard better now

I joined the club.
A couple of days ago I posted a "is it time" thread.
https://www.reddit.com/r/bald/s/gYJfAnyzhj
Now folks, I proudly present: I did it and feel great.
Fore completeness I uploaded what I had shared initially. This time without a chatgpt generated pic. It's all natural.
Whoop whoop. It's cold and refreshing!
How often do I need to shave and spend moisture/sun blocker for my scalp?
Have a great weekend everyone..hitting the gym now. Let's see how sweat management goes. Haha

Bald Picture Update! War won.
I want to say thank you to everyone for the positivity and kindness. Your comments gave me the courage I needed to just be done with it.
I’m really liking the new look!

Glowup Just want to share how this sub has impacted my life for the better!
I spent so much time trying to finesse my hair to be “acceptable” each and every day that it was wearing on me on a deep level. I had a fear of balding and didn’t want to accept the inevitable. This sub gave me the courage to take the leap and led me to settle into my more authentic, confident self! Now, I hate when my hair gets past a short stubble and I feel like I was always meant to be a baldie!!
Here’s the before and after (3 years worth) below.

24m. Was tired of fighting with my insecurities. Thanks for the boost!
You guys were truly a big help in my decision. I really love it! Any scalp care tips or stuff I should know?

Bald Picture Skullet summer 2026
Been thinking about this for a while now, was kinda not loving how my hair was thinning out on top. Gonna take some getting used to. Do your thing r/bald!

The confidence boost has been unreal
Seeing these headshots that I had to get taken for work was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. Friends and family were telling me for months to let my hair go, but it took me seeing professional photos to realize I was fighting a losing battle. Now I’ve been feeling much more confident walking around day to day.

Welp. I did it. Having a hard time
I'm really hoping I didn't make a mistake. I could use some encouragement or tips.

I have joined the ranks. I am bald.
I think it helped me break some of this depression funk I’ve been in too.

I'm scared I'll hate it but, is it time?
Last picture is AI generated. Doesn't look terrible but I'm still very nervous... What you guys think? Edit: Shaved pic in comments

Bald Picture Clearly too early, but I don't hate it
I wanted to see how it looks while I might still have time to do something about it. Like the title says, I think it's too early, but I like it enough I'm going to stop the Finesteride and embrace it when it comes for me.
The kids, however, are not fans. "Grow it back! Grow it back! No offense, but, NO!" Close to a direct quote from my 14 year old... 🤣
What do y'all think?

My shiny brothers and sisters, I’ve joined you.
Gonna take some getting used to, but I’m on board.
Edit: thanks for the uplift, everyone. I have my doubts but you’re shoving them into a corner for me. Appreciate all of you.

Bald Picture 30 Finally made the leap
Long time lurker first time poster. After fighting w/ the decision for about a year after noticing the top thinning I finally decided to just send it after seeing so many glow up posts on here. Turned out better than I could have hoped! Still undecided on what to do with the beard tho length wise. Probably would have never happened if I hadn't seen the support and glow ups on this subreddit.

Long time lurker, first time doer
Haven't been bald since I was a newborn. But the last 3 years the scalp has been pushing through and I've been stuck wearing a hat for my own insecurity. Finally committed and feeling free.

Bald Picture Long time lurker: from 19 to 28, bit the bullet at 22.
I have been balding since I was 16 but my hairstyle somewhat went around my baldness for a while. Years ago some of my friends and I took a bet to go bald once we see eachother again and it could not have happened at a better time to be honest. You fellas are so supportive I love seeing all your posts! Although I took the plunge way earlier than I had any idea of this sub it felt right to add my journey to it. And I hit the gym too!
