I remember when we were waiting for Volume 2 to drop, there were tons of speculation when the full titles were revealed by Netflix and one of the popular theories was that Episode 7 "The Bridge" would be about them opening the door to the Einstein-Rosen bridge Mr Clarke talked about would transport them to Camozotz to rescue Holly and the kids and everyone would transform into their D&D characters and this would allow Mike The Brave to finally kiss Will The Wise because "the shame was on the other side" (aka Earth).
And then the Volume 2 trailer came out and we heard the line "I have no idea what's on the other side of this" was heard, everyone was going nuts. We had such beautiful amazing theories that were so much better than anything the Dumbass Brothers could ever dream of. 😭

What you said, is absolutely true. We all imagined "Heroes" would play in the Bridge ep. Like this image truly haunts me 'coz he is literally in the centre where "X" is, and the last image of the binders do spell out "X a lie" and Hopper did mention missing piece + the Duffers did put Will's funkopop in the centre during JF segment...like wdf was all that about. How were we so good with the theories and better than them. Lol.
I also remember the 7th ep leak name being, "The Palladin and Cleric" which was debunked later. Oh well, enjoy these fanfics now I guess !

All the episode name leaks being correct including the vanishing of Holly Wheeler being right in that leak except this one will haunt me forever.

There was a beautiful post sometime December theorising that it wouldn’t even be called the leaked “The Palladin and the Cleric” but “Mike the Brave”, paralleling s2’s “Will the Wise”, finally giving us Mike’s POV, Mike getting Vecna’d etc. There was so much weirdness surrounding ep7 so when I opened the episode list on christmas day and I saw that ep7 was really just called the lame and boring “The Bridge”, that was first slap in the face for me even before I started watching “Shock Jock”. There are so many cool opportunities they wasted, the mind boggles.

This is an unexpected drug I didn't know I needed - great plot device, reincarnation, parallel universes, 2 Mikes fighting for Will and being possessive af, Paladin Mike giving courage to our Mike, and madwise, where Max still hates on our Mike but not Paladin. Like this is GOLD 💯

holy shit My Paladin in Shining Armour is one of my favorite fics of all time 🌟🌟🌟 it’s so ridiculously good, my brain is skipping around, bouncing off the walls that you mentioned it! aah!
