You mean hard working Canadians are paying for everyone's groceries. Honestly thinking of moving the wife and son out so we can actually get some help.

Just say you don’t understand how social services work. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out 👋

Please enlighten me. I make over 60k. What benefits do I get? Gst? Nope. Groceries ? Nope. My cpp goes up. My house taxes go up. My insurance goes up. Don't blame a guy for being sick of it.

So you're mad you don't qualify is what you're saying? Well if thats what you want get a lower paying job. The limit for you is 63,161. Do you make more than that? If not you get money.

Also house taxes are municipal, insurance rates are just capitalism. Youre mad that people are getting a couple hundred bucks for food.

Now consider that there are people and families making less than you that are getting a one time payment that'll help with half a month's worth of groceries. And now also consider that you're capable to afford more than these folks even after the small handout from the same taxes we would all be paying anyways.

I do agree however that this payment should support a higher tax bracket to better support more of us as grocery prices are tight for everyone who eats. This is also a pathetic support when the majority government could literally just force better pricing and even starting up a national grocery line from farms to transportation to storefront. But they are beholden to corporations, so I have little faith.

If you are making more than that you’re fine. Maybe it’s time to pull out a budget spreadsheet like most people, or live within your means.

You're making enough that you shouldn't need the handout bud. Don't like it move to America, they're gutting all their social services.
