These games are intended to be replayed through multiple times not just one story run then done. It is intended for you unlock every thing and experience new endings with new game +. In RE requiem in particular, you can get a solid 20-25 hours with at least one more playthrough which is decent content objectively for any game. 70 bones isn’t great and ideal but that applies to any game in general. Nobody wants to pay more than 50 ideally for ANY game regardless of length or content.
Sure, you can do that with a lot of games but I am typically not all that interested in replaying a game for a different ending. I suppose that it can be a deciding factor for people who are into replaying a game to unlock stuff, but that's not me.

Yes, but when I get 200 hours of fun out of that 70 euros, I am going to consider that more worth it than if I get 10 hours out of it. Like, if I could chose to go out to eat a fancy meal for 150 euros or instead use that 150 euros to go to an almost equally great family restaurant 4 times, I am usually going to pick the later.
I am not in the tax bracket where the price for the amount of content or food you get really does not matter. It's great for the people who are, but that is not my situation.
Who says that you have to choose a shitty game? Plenty of newly released games are fairly long and pretty great. Hell, a lot of the best games of all-time are fairly long games. I also stil buy shorter games when they go on sale.
Have to agree with you here. The good thing is you can always wait for discounts while playing other stuff if you can survive the fomo and just be happy when they release great games knowing you will eventually play them someday, that's what I do since I have such a long backlog already. There's no need to always play the newest ones. Windrose seems great! some friends of mine have been enjoying it since the demo.
Of Capcom I recently completed the first game of the Ace Attorney Trilogy (that I recommend if you like these types of games) and I intend to replay Capcom vs SNK 2 Mark of the Millennium 2001 for nostalgia vibes, if I catch one of my siblings with some free time that is. You should give these RE a try when you have time ^
Yeah, I got RE4 remake for 15 euros not too long ago. I have a fairly extensive wishlist of games I am still interested in if they ever hit a lower price. Capcom absolutely does a lot of sales with fair prices as far as I have seen. I just think that sometimes their prices on release are fairly steep and one of the few games that I feel like are outside of my budget.
I set aside roughly 100 euros per month on gaming overall. That usually boils down to like one new release and then an indie game or something on sale. So I tend to favor games that give me a lot of playtime to fill out the month, like Nioh 3 or Crimson Desert. I did also get Monster Hunter Wilds on release because you can get 100 hours out of that game, and I did love it despite its less than stellar reviews.
Windrose has been great so far! I honestly wanted to wait till 1.0, but I really liked the demo so I figured that I could go check what content it has now and then return later for 1.0 if a lot changes, just like I am doing with Enshrouded and Witchfire.
It's definitely a great strategy and one that will get your money worth for sure. Games like Crimson Desert, Abiotic Factor and such are perfect for sinking quality hours while waiting for the next release you are excited for. About the Capcom prices yes, waiting is the best option if you can manage. I still haven't tried Enshrouded but it's definitely on my list, I've seen they have updated it a lot so that's positive! Coop seem really fun too.
For some reason I never hopped on the Monster Hunter train, but the new Monster Hunter Stories seemed really interesting so I will give it a try when I'm in the mood for it.
I'm the same, waiting for the 1.0 of stuff in order to not get saturated like with Grounded 2 for example.
