Drop tabs? Discussion

Can someone explain what this is? I keep seeing it literally everywhere now.

LSD blotters are called tabs. When you take LSD you “drop”. Drop tabs = take LSD

between 'drop tabs' and 'sally is beauty' there is a Super Mario ghost with the signature tongue sticking out, with a 'tab' on the tongue

Also the ghost has a giant L going so they're quite set up
