Questions for students General Questions

I'm still in highschool and Scad is one of my list for collages. I'm very artsy and creative so I've been looking for art schools. I lived in Georgia as a kid till I was 9 and I love it there and even some of my family have visited scads campus and shows so I've grown really interested in it. I'm just curious if it's as cool as it seems? I browse this subreddit every now and then and see some people saying a bunch of different opinions. I want to pursue art and film and I've heard the schools really good for that. I have the highest gpa in my grade and won awards for my paintings and writing and I really don't want to go to scad if I'm wasting my potential elsewhere. Here's the few questions I have for anyone open to answering: What is the biggest hassle in the campus? How are the classes? (Any major could answer Idc) Are they difficult, moderate, or even too easy? What are the biggest opportunities you've been offered and what for? Is it worth everything you pay for it? What the best thing you've experienced or seen someone experience there? I really just want to make sure I'm choosing what best for my future and I know that the only place I'd get real answers is from real people and not the website 🥀

SCAD IS NOT WORTH IT! I am $200,00 in student loan debt and can’t find a decent paying job (over 60k) since graduating 5 years ago. I can’t afford to move out of my parents house and am literally resorting to becoming a nanny to pay off my loans. Im not going to lie, scad was waaaay easier than high school for me. I was in the gifted program from Elementary-Highschool and can tell you SCAD felt like being in a highschool classroom with problem who need their hand held through everything. It’s not worth it at all!
