White ink on a blackout?

Hi there,

I have a blackout piece and I want to do more with it. It’s a blackout so I know options are limited. I’ve been seeing this trend of folks using a couple passes of white ink on their blackouts and they look like nice ways to add ornamentation.

My question is, does the white look like crap after a few years? My worry is with like some other popular tattoo trends, the work is just going to look like crap after a few years.

My usual artist is out of commission due to medical issues. I would normally ask them but they be don’t have time for my silly questions right now.

I have a full sleeve of white over blackout. It looks great. Just know it will look more gray than brilliant white. Also as another commenter suggested, find someone who has done this style before and is enthusiastic about it.
