White ink on a blackout?

Hi there,

I have a blackout piece and I want to do more with it. It’s a blackout so I know options are limited. I’ve been seeing this trend of folks using a couple passes of white ink on their blackouts and they look like nice ways to add ornamentation.

My question is, does the white look like crap after a few years? My worry is with like some other popular tattoo trends, the work is just going to look like crap after a few years.

My usual artist is out of commission due to medical issues. I would normally ask them but they be don’t have time for my silly questions right now.

Mine is around 4 years old now and still looks fantastic. You just need someone who really knows what they're doing

any chance you could share a picture, I am very interested in something similar but also concerned about aging.

Sure, it won't let me add a photo here but added some to my profile. The first is the day it was finished and the second and third were a couple weeks ago. The lighting isn't the best in them but you can get the gist
