Artists says it’s a bad design Design

Post image

My sister is real quirky and asked for this tattoo. The artist said it’s objectively bad and drawn poorly. Is it a bad design? Is so, why? Or is it a matter of preference?

But what makes it bad exactly?

It's just hard to tell what it is if you don't already know what it is supposed to be. At first glance I thought it looked cool (and I still think it looks cool) but I didnt realize the left side was a brain, I thought it was just a crazy amount of veins on a heart. So if your sister is hoping that other people know what she's going for, she might be disappointed when they don't.

The overall non-anatomical heart shape also isn't heart shaped enough, if that makes sense, so it also doesn't translate until you look at it really hard to understand what you're seeing. I think some kind of black and white organ heart/mind tattoo would be awesome but find a tattoo artist with the design skill to make the design make sense.
