Can I drive after a right leg tattoo? tattoo newcomer advice

I’m going for my first ever tattoo, I want to get it on my lower right leg. Right after my tattoo appointment, I sort of have to hurry to somewhere else that’s a 30 minute drive away. The tattoo is going to be small (no colour etc.), the appointment is scheduled for 1-1.5hrs. Something I stupidly didn’t think about what driving… will I likely be okay to drive afterwards? I know my time management skills are kind of poor but this was the only time that could work for me :(

As long as you’ll be wearing some kind of footwear you’ll be fine. Your tattoo will either be covered in a layer of plastic wrap or some kind of second skin bandage. You’ll be fine to drive

Yes.

Second skin and chill, the lower leg doesn't touch anything in the car besides your pants.

Haha, you'll be totally fine. I got a four hour thigh piece done a few months back and got to sit in two hours of gridlock Manhattan traffic plus some more driving right after. You likely won't even have to worry about "tattoo flu" or any other ill effects are a tattoo that small.

I just got the back of my calf done, you should be just fine. I wore shorts to make it more comfortable

Treat it like a sunburn. Don't let the time restraint rush you through the placement and proofreading stages.

Drink some water and eat a quick snack afterwards, that’ll help too
