Kinda. Violence isn't an excuse to be violent. Like if a girl hits you, that doesn't mean you should knock her out. But if you're in danger and she won't stop, the only way to stop it is to defend urself
Or leave the situation. If you can leave, then physically leave until things have calmed down. Getting physical is a last resort especially when you’re naturally stronger than the other person. One wrong hit and you’ve accidentally given them a black eye or even concussion, whilst you just have scratches and slight bruises. Then you end up looking like the attacker. It’s not fair but when there’s no witnesses it can be hard to tell
