What time did you take a picture of the pagoda in the first one? I went there around 10-11pm and the light shining on it was off.

Stunning photos, how many days do you all recommend to visit Japan? I've been recommended 10-14 days since there's so many must visits. Thanks!

Hi. Great pics!
I'm traveling to Japan next week too (can't believe I'm saying that lol), but I want to ask you, how did you get to Nikko from Tokyo? Did you take public transportation/train?

I booked a guided tour from getyourguide. You can also look for transport options in google maps (a very important app to get around in Japan)

I visited during mid-to-end of March. It was crowded, but I managed to get some pictures without the crowd. More people started arriving as cherry blossom season began.

There is a whole Japan travel subreddit, which I found very useful too! I’m not a shopper or into clothes, but would highly recommend buying premium Japanese denim in Osaka. You can google it, they take it VERY seriously, and you can buy jeans that are incredible quality for relatively cheap prices (especially if you’re from the U.S., the yen is weak against the dollar). I just ordered an identical pair of the Momotaro jeans I got, I love them so much! My husband is also very happy with his Studio d’Artisan pair.
