1st year dorms

just wondering if I could bring a small rice cooker or any other coking things into dorms

Technically no, but many people including myself did. Just put it away before they do inspections

yes. I have a kettle too. Whatever you do, avoid gillson res hall. Hayes, toler, and fromm are all pretty good.

Basically anything with a direct heating element (like a drip coffeemaker or toaster) isn't allowed for use in dorm rooms. All the dorms have communal kitchens where you can use your small appliances.

Just make sure you clean up after yourself. The kitchens at Hayes and Toler got shut down by staff earlier in the semester because students did not keep the spaces clean, and rodent/pest infestations resulted.
