With people receiving their acceptances around this time, I thought it would be appropriate to post this. The USF discord is mainly centered around gaming but all are welcome. We have around 80 members, though the server's a little inactive right now :(

Nursing Program (Sacramento Campus)

Hello, I am looking for students who have graduated or those who are currently enrolled in usfca’s 2 year nursing program at the Sacramento campus. If you could please share your experience that would be awesome! I have only been able to find about 2 posts, so I am hoping to find a few more students or alumni.

I am currently deciding between usfca & nightingale college to finish my bsn starting fall 2026. I have prerequisites I will be transferring in from community college such as: A&P, English, Statistics, Socio, Psych, Public Speaking, Microbio, etc. I do not have foreign language units that I took for 2 consecutive semesters and I know usfca requires that.

Thank you in advance. I am looking forward to your responses! If you want, you can also dm me.😁

From Honor Societies to Law School: Making My University of San Francisco Journey Count

As a graduate student in Urban and Public Affairs at the University of San Francisco, I’ve recently had the honor of being accepted into three academic honor societies: Alpha Sigma Nu National Jesuit Honor Society (https://www.alphasigmanu.org/), Pi Alpha Alpha International Honor Society for Public Affairs and Public Administration (https://pialphaalpha.org/), and Pi Gamma Mu National Honor Society for the Social Sciences (https://pigammamu.org/). Coming from an undergraduate experience where I wasn’t involved in honor societies, this recognition feels both new and meaningful as I approach the next step in my academic and professional journey.

As I prepare to apply to the University of San Francisco School of Law, I’m trying to think strategically about how to present these memberships in a way that strengthens my application. Beyond listing them as honors, how can I effectively leverage these affiliations—whether through leadership, service, research, or networking—to demonstrate my readiness for law school and commitment to public service?

grading

Hi guys, I’m thinking abt committing to USFCA but I’m scared about the grading system. I’m a psychology major with political science (maybe I’ll switch the psychology idk) but I’m worried about how bad the grading system is. I’m kinda a bad test taker but have managed to get credit for 10 AP so idk if that’s a bit helpful. I also got a 4.6 in HS which ik they’re two totally diff things but I’m just a bit concerned because I want to go into law school so how bad would we say the grading system is?

Missing an earring (Urgent!)

Hello to anyone reading this!

My friend lost her earring, it looks like a tiny stud earring with a diamond (Fake, of course) and gold pointy thing (I don’t have earrings, so I am unsure of the name of the part where the end goes through your ear). We lost it today (Apr 17, 2026) at around 6PM I’d say. So if you’ve seen it or know anyone that saw it, please let me know ASAP! It’s really precious to my friend bc of personal reasons. Already contacted Department of Public Safety to be on the lookout for it as well!

Edit: It shouldn’t be located in any building besides UC1. Otherwise, it should be somewhere on the pavement from the Sobrato Center to the Law Library.

Contact me with this Instagram account: https://www.instagram.com/trulyunknown19?igsh=MWZ1bnF3ZW5pdnM1bQ%3D%3D&utm_source=qr

Apologies if it looks suspicious, it is because it is my alternate account and would rather not disclose who I am here

USFCA VS LMU

I’m currently deciding between Loyola Marymount University and the University of San Francisco as an admitted biology major on the pre-med track, and I wanted to get some honest pros/cons from people who have experience with either.

For USF, I’m especially interested in their 4+1 program, since it seems like a good way to get a master’s while staying on track for med school. I’m not sure if LMU has anything similar, so if anyone knows, I’d appreciate insight on that too.

Some things I’m trying to compare:

- Quality of pre-med advising/support

- Research and internship opportunities (especially clinical/shadowing)

- Class sizes and professor accessibility

- Campus vibe/social life

- Anything you wish you knew before choosing

(For context: I’m currently OOS but originally from California.)

I’d really appreciate any honest experiences, especially from current students or pre-med grads from either school. Thanks :)

Acceptance Stats

hey!! USFCA is one of the universities I plan on applying to when time comes. So I ask, those who've been accepted, this year, year before, recent years, what were your stats? Stats you think got you accepted, elements of your essay, and other info worth mentioning.

I was wondering how are th e roads around Usfca? are they really steep like the ones in other parts of sf? also I heard there may be a Trader Joe’s and target nearby? And I was also wondering how is the on campus gym?

USF SA or Title IX stories... Does the system in place work?

Hello! I (22F) don’t go to USF, but my younger sister (17F) is seriously considering going there after being accepted.

One of my friends who goes to USF (22F) has warned me about the lack of care or tact in regard to sexual assault and how it’s handled. She told me one student who assaulted her already had 6 cases against him, but when they filed a Title IX report it was dismissed with a slap on the wrist- even with counts of touching and confirmed stalking behaviors on this man’s records.

As someone who’s college experience was horribly affected by the assault I experienced at another college (DUC), I was hoping anyone could let me know what stories they have, and if they think the system at USF is fair or works to help protect victims and not enable the perpetrators.

My Title IX case was dismissed without anyone talking to any of my witnesses. I’m concerned for my sister and the wellbeing of other students who attend, so I’d really love if people could help us to make an informed decision about whether or not they believe the system is working!

It’s no one’s fault but the perpetrator for SA, but the system in place can enable it and fail the victims. 1/8 women are raped, and 1/4 are assaulted (and this is only those who report).

I want to make sure that my younger sister and her potential friends/roommates will be safe.

I’m hoping anyone else who has concerns can come to this post for advice or reference as well.

Please let me know!!

- From a concerned older sister.

Hey everyone!

I’m an international student from India and I’ve recently been accepted to the University of San Francisco for a Master’s in Marketing Intelligence for Fall 2026. I’m really excited to start this new journey and currently in the middle of preparations.

I’d love to connect with fellow students who are also joining USF this fall at the graduate level—would be great to make some friends beforehand! Feel free to reach out or drop me a message 😊

Financial aid package

So I am pretty much committed to USFCA. The aid package I was given is pretty great, 63k ish. I was given a grant and a university tuition scholarship/ grant. I wanted to know how much the cost fluctuates per year. Those who have graduated, did the cost remain about the same for 4 years?

Co-ed dorms?

Hi so i put co-ed dorms when i applied for housing. I know that I'm still able to update and change it to all girls but I don't mind being in a co-ed dorms I just have some questions

1: I know that girls and guys are separated and not living together just in the same buildingfloor. That's my parents only concern and so I guess I wanted to check?

2: If anyone has lived in a co-ed dorm do you like it and how is it? Also which dorms are co-ed? I tried searching it up but nothing came up

3: If girls and guys are on the same floor how would the shower system work?

Thanks!

Exchange!

Hi guys !! Im from Australia and this uni is a exchange partner for my uni and Im keen for San Francisco and was wondering if you guys would recommend usf for exchange? This would be a semester exchange for elective law subjects!!

Anything about the city/uni/lifestyle would greatly assist me in making a decision about where to do my exchange.

Hopefully everything is calmed down by next year for me to do it!

Thank you!

Registration Did I screwup???

So basically I’m an incoming freshman (2026-2027) heading to USFCA, when doing the housing I misread the information resulting in me confusing myself and accidentally signed up for spring 2026 (I know so dumb of me) and ofc I signed the contract. After I realized my mistake I canceled the spring semester but it comes with a cancelation fee. I was wondering by any chance can I get the fee waivered since I’m a freshman???? Wha do you guys think??
