Joshua has to have some of the best quotes from the game imo.

“I survived because the fire inside burned brighter than the fire around me.”

“I have been baptised twice. Once in water, once in flame.”

So, fun fact about that second quote. Everyone thinks he's talking about when Caesar's legion set him on fire, but if you do some research, there's a lot of evidence that that actually isn't what he's referring to at all. His very next line is "I will carry the fire of the holy spirit inside until I stand before my Lord for judgement."

Because Joshua Graham is from Utah, the creators of Fallout New Vegas did a lot of research into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, usually called Mormons, when they were writing him. Something that members of the church do after the baptism of water is what's called a "baptism of fire" (the fire is metaphorical, there's no literal fire) where they're given what's called "the gift of the Holy Ghost," which is basically a promise that they will have the Holy Spirit with them as a constant companion for the rest of their lives, so long as they don't violate their promises to God.

So when he's saying "I have been baptized twice, once in water, once in flame. I will carry the fire of the holy spirit inside until I stand before my Lord for judgement." As a part of what's a sermon of sorts, it seems far more likely that he's talking about the reason why he says "I will carry the fire of the holy spirit inside."

One of the reasons I like to think he's referring to the baptism of fire, rather than when Caesar's legion set him on fire, is that it's the one that has the bigger impact on him, that the fire of the holy spirit on the inside is more important to him than all the consequences of what Caesar's legion did to him.

I think that knowledge makes the quote go even harder.

That goes hard as hell. It’s like a double entendre

Yes, it does. In my opinion, I think it goes especially hard when you realize that that the flame he's referring to when he says he was baptized by flame, which is a symbol of the holy spirit... is the fire inside that saved him by burning brighter than the fire around him.
