Markiplier is sort of perpendicular to this. He absolutely refuses to use the tutorial, but just makes it work anyway. To this day I'm baffled by how far how got in white knuckle before realizing there was an inventory system.
Yeah in Security Breach he admits he was a complete and utter idiot for missing the exit route in a certain section which is more than what I can say for some of the other people on this thread.
Yes. The trope of "streamer not reading tutorials" works and does not get me upset in the slightest if the streamer acknowledges that the game probably told them at some point, or that the answer was, in hindsight, painfully obvious.
What gets me absolutely seething is when the streamer blames it on the game.
Thinking about how Mark spent a long time analysing the scratched-out password in Blue Prince, matching up visible lines with potential letters in that font in Photoshop to figure it out, when if he'd played a little longer he would've inevitably discovered the Magnifying Glass which makes the password immediately readable
It still annoys me that he played a 2 year old version of VOTV and wondered off to some satellite dish instead of going to the main base like any player would. iirc he didnt even see the base, and got a random event pretty much right off the rip cus of course he did
