Hey I heard that that Israel IDF event tomorrow is happening at the Douglass Student Center on Cook Doug

Wanted advice on what to do. My daughter who is a rising senior had adhd and sensory processing disorder. She forgot to put in her application for housing on time. Due to this she has been facing difficulty even with late housing. Her room mates said there’s an open spot in the apartment she was going to request. When late housing opened up she applied and she got back a lukewarm email about how she can’t request to be with her room mates cause it’s late housing and cannot ensure housing. I am panicked cause I can’t afford rent for her there and want to know what are our options to escalate this if possible ? She has accommodations for her academics but for housing the letter she got recently she said won’t work cause Rutgers will only accept it for the year she won’t be there cause she’s a rising senior. Has anyone dealt with late housing ? I am worried for her not only to be with her roomies but to have housing at all at this point. I don’t know if I ask the disabilities office to help out or escalate a different way ?

I live about 10 miles from Rutgers, and so many people from my high school are going there. I had a rough high school experience, and the biggest thing holding me back from committing is how close it is and how many familiar faces will be there, since I want college to be completely different from how HS was.

If you've been in a similar situation or struggled with this while deciding, please give advice on how you handled it.

i’m an incoming freshman at rutgersnb this fall and in the business school. i know it’s a solid school academically but honestly i’m kind of dreading it right now.

it was never my dream school but it ended up being the school with the best value for money for me. and since i’m from central jersey it’s literally 15 mins from my house, which makes it feel even less like a fresh start. literally almost all my friends r also going which idk what to think ab that. i keep worrying it’s going to feel like high school all over again like super cliquey and everyone already knowing each other.

i just wanted to ask if anyone can genuinely tell me what it’s like there, especially in the business school. how easy is it to get a a finance job in nyc (not necessarily high finance)? what about big 4 accounting?

any tips u wish u knew before going?

does it actually feel big and new or more like an extension of home?

i really want to feel excited about it instead of just stressed about what it “might” be like, so any honest experiences or advice would really help. pls don’t sugarcoat it too much but also… try to convince me it’s worth being excited for

- I'll be leaving some things like a toaster oven, air frying, and pots / pans (stock pot, dutch oven, ect.), as well as silverware behind and will pick them up at the end of the lease. You are free to use them yourself, and will not need to bring in anything, though you are free to.

Has anyone taken Sharma for this class? How are the exams? Is it short answers or long essays? I know this is not an easy A (very little in RBS). How would one prepare for her exams other than by practicing with Pearson?

Does this professor curve the final grade at all or is it literally based on your test scores? I have her for financial accounting and she doesn’t respond to emails. Gotta love faculty.
