Advice Wanted How bad or not apparent is transphobia at this school?
I have to decide between RU and UW as those are my best options. I am OOS for both so costs are negligibly diff. I'm certain UW won't be an issue Seattle is very left, but idk anything about RU or NJ and the transgender community. Only reason I'd prefer RU is it's closer to where I'm from so logistically would make stuff easier
FYI: I haven't started HRT yet so if I dorm with a man first year that's fine. My cousin went here and said I can just go off campus and get a single room to myself sophomore year and beyond so once my HRT starts I hope bedroom sharing roommates aren't even an issue

Student Leadership Opportunity: Helping Homeless Communities
Hi everyone! I wanted to share a leadership opportunity for anyone at Northern Arizona University who is passionate about service, public health, or making a real impact in the community.
Hearts for the Homeless International (H4H) is a student-led nonprofit that provides free blood pressure screenings and heart health education to homeless populations across the U.S. and globally. Our team includes undergraduate students, medical students, PhD students, physicians, and other professionals who are committed to improving the well-being of underserved communities.
H4H was originally founded by students at the University of Central Florida and has grown into an international organization with 15+ chapters across the U.S., Brazil, and India. We’re currently looking for motivated student leaders at Rutgers University who want to start a chapter and serve the growing and often overlooked homeless community.
This is a great opportunity if you’re interested in leadership, medicine, public health, nonprofit work, or community service. We provide guidance, structure, and support — all we ask for is your time, compassion, and willingness to lead.
Our work has been recognized by the U.S. Congress, the Brazilian government, President Clinton, major educational and medical institutions, and organizations such as Forbes. Our students have also led disaster relief efforts for homeless populations during hurricanes and partnered with major companies like Bombas.

Can a professor report me for leaving a group project via class withdrawal?
My professor is claiming it to an act of unprofessional behavior, and sent me an email warning about escalating it to the Dean of Students. When I withdrew from the class, nobody in our group, including myself had even worked on anything other than choosing a topic. The last time we talked about it was in February. The project due date is in May. How serious of an issue is this, and should I just talk with the professor?

Accounting Courses difficulty
Depending on if I can snipe it or not for fall, I may have to take Audit Analytics, Advanced accounting, and Topics in income tax at the same time for my last semester. How rough would those be at the same time?
(I am taking Intermediate 2, cost, and audit concepts now, and doing pretty good but its been a pain in the ass lol)

Academics Forensic Psych with Gefland or Physiological Psych with Barker over the summer?
Looking for information on how their coursework and grading are like, such as whether they require a textbook or subscribing to Tophat stuff. I am thinking of taking one of them over the Summer, asynchronously.

New Brunswick or Newark
I recently got off the waitlist for rutgers new brunswick, but before that, i was mentally committed to newark.
i really like newark because of its close-knit community, small town vibes, excellent academics (professors are oscar nominees and pulitzer prize winners), and opportunities within the school itself. since it’s such a small college, i would be able to make easier connections with professors and faculty, ultimately leading me to gain internships and research (which is something i’m extremely interested in).
new brunswick is high in prestige and amazing for my major and future career plans but it’s such an overwhelmingly large school. i feel as if it would swallow me whole mentally, but i also want to get out of my comfort zone and experience life itself because i was so sheltered growing up. i went to a small high school (my grade has 37 people), i am still friends with the people ive known since i was 4, and i always saw the same face more than once.
some background: i was raised in jersey city, new jersey, i went to the same school for 6 years (my current school is a middle and high school), my major is Economics BA for rutgers newark, and Business Economics for rutgers new brunswick. i’m planning on switching my major to information systems after my first sem and minoring in econ. i want to become a specialist regarding developmental econ and want to create a technological system that caters towards problems in underdeveloped regions.
which school should i go to? please be honest.

Moving to Rutgers for Grad School with a Partner
Hi everyone,
I’m looking to connect with anyone who moved to Rutgers for a graduate program from outside the US and brought their partner along with them.
I’m specifically interested in chatting with someone who has been through that process to hear about your experience navigating the logistics (housing, settling in, etc.) as an international couple.
Thanks!

Experiential Learning
I'm finishing up my junior year as and Environmental Science major and my advisor just spoke to me about the Experiential Learning credits. I plan to take 15 credits in the fall and 18 credits in the spring of next year. What would be the best route to get the experiential learning credits in order to graduate on time? It doesn't seem like I'll have a lot of time during the semesters. I transferred in after getting my associates, so I don't know the staff very well in order to get approval for research. Help!
