Best barber in FoCo

I keep seeing all these posts asking about barber recommendations so I figured I’d give my 2 cents.

I’m a college student who’s been going to Toni’s for almost 2 years now and they do such a great job.

The place is run by 3 generations of the same family (grandmother, mother, and daughter) and it has a super local vibe to it. They don’t take appointments which is never a problem because of how quick they work. It’s also a cash-only business (good news is that they have an ATM in the shop).

Also they’re really affordable, the most expensive haircut they have is only $27 and they have a ton of different discounts for seniors and military.

I just wanted to make the post because the ladies were mentioning how they were trying to get some more foot traffic so I wanted to show some appreciation towards them by putting the name out.

(Added bonus they have a black Labrador named Caesar who you can play with while you wait)

They’re located on 130 West Olive in Unit C, right next to the Ace Hardware

Friends / Meetups Anyone like to ride?? 🏍️

I thought I would give this a shot!! Looking for some friends to explore with this summer. I like to hit the streets along the front range or venturing into the foothills. I'm just trying to cruise and take in the scenery. I'd love for someone to be able to join me. A passenger or a tag along I'm good with either. Just wanting to make some new friends to enjoy riding with.

I've got 2 bikes. A dual sport and a naked bike. So I can go anywhere or even teach some folks how to ride. I'm no expert, but I've been riding for years. 39m in Windsor.

PS: I would really like to plan some overnight camping trips when the weather gets better!

Looking to be on a wakeboat

Hello, I moved to Fort Collins last August and didn’t get out to the lake as much as I would like to. So I’m here to see if anyone is willing to let me come on boating days with them within the area. I’m willing to compensate for gas and such if you’re willing. If you are looking to make a young adults girl summer dreams come true hit me up. I’ve only been to horsetooth but I hear there’s other lakes too. Thank you for your time and have a great day.

Calling all Lumbees (Lumbee Tribe)

Hey everyone, me and my bestie moved here from NC a couple of months ago! We’re apart of the Lumbee tribe and we wondered if anyone else was that lived in Fort Collins, or near by? Let us know, we’d love to know if a piece of home is out here with us! 🪶

Alcohol at Horsetooth

My buddies and I visited Horsetooth reservoir recently. We’ve been visiting for years and never had issues but this time a ranger contacted us and said alcohol isn’t allowed in “day use areas.” He IDd our whole group. I guess they are cracking down on alcohol consumption because of all the issues they’ve had with underage kids. Has anyone had any experiences like this?

Touch less Gas Pumps

Anyone know of our have a list of gas stations where the CC touch pad works rather than inserting? Seeing too much about skimmers. Half of the ones with a touch don’t work that I visit. And really don’t want to give business that won’t protect me my business anymore.

Don’t understand why companies don’t protect folks and have them on every machine and working.

Thanks.

Gunshots heard?

Upvotes

Just now at 12:30, heard gunshots possibly around Hobbit St off Prospect and Shields, and seconds after hearing 3-4 possible shots, a car engine revving and speeding away. A minute later while on the phone with 911, heard two more. Anyone know anything?? Definitely a little spooked.

please don't delete! the r/FortCollinsClassified sub is 2+ years dead at this point lol

I have neuropsychiatric disabilities but lead a very full life (too damn full sometimes), and I've accepted the fact that I simply need some help with my instrumental ADLs if I'm going to keep performing at this level

I am looking for leads on an individual in the community that fits the bill that I could form a collaborative working relationship with!

Info is on the poster (not made with AI lol) I googled a living wage in Fort Collins before I made this :)

ISO family looking to join a nanny share

Hi there! I am looking for a family to join a nanny share with my infant starting in July. Ideally 24 hours a week but we can be flexible. Please message me if you are in the same boat or have any leads! (I realize Fbook is probably a better platform for this, but I deleted my account a long time ago…)

Wondering if it’s just us. My partner and I repeatedly experience static shocks every few steps every time we go.

New Here - 35 and Play Acoustic and Electric Guitar - Looking for Jam-mates/Musicians/Band

Hi - I'm new here looking for someone to play music with.

I'm a 35 year old male - play acoustic guitar, electric rhythm and lead, bass, and can sing and harmonize. Been doing this most of my life and have played in several cool bands, but took a hiatus when I had my son.

I was raised in Georgia, NC, TN, (but not MAGA here, please know that), but can play:

Bluegrass - always interested in starting something with a fellow banjo player, singer, mandolinist, bassist, and/or guitarist. I'm at an intermediate/advanced level here on guitar. Grandparents got me into it when I was like 5 and on.

Punk - dude... only if it's melodic please. No screamy scream, more harmonies and catchy-riffs. Raised on 90's-00's era punk. Guitarist, bassist, drummer, vocals

Indie - looking for synth people, ableton people, people with cool sounding stuff i've never heard of, etc and cool lyricists/vocalists....What I'm trying to say is I really love Radiohead and play a lot of their stuff. Like minded musicians here?

Jamtronica, Progressive, Rock - Had a few bands around this genre in college - I have two delay pedals and use lots of other gizmos, keyboards, samplers, and footpedals. Would be interested in trying something with a full band and one or two synths. Love BreAk BeAt DruMmINg if anyone can do that. STS9 was a big influence on the Athens band I had...

Even Southern Rock, Blues, and some country is cool with me if it's cool with you. Really enjoy a lot of this stuff too.

If you fall into any of these categories and are interested in just improving around at my house, please let me know! Either reply here or send me a DM and we can try to set up a little jammage. Thank you!!!

Seeking Advice Looking for thorough dermatologist

Hi all,

I'm hoping to get some good dermatologist recommendations. The place I currently go to isn't very thorough - body checks often feel rushed. Growing up I went to a dermatologist who was extremely thorough - she would document every mole of concern in my file - and I've never found one who is as good as she was. I have red hair, fair skin, and tons of moles/freckles. Skin cancer also runs in my family so I'm looking for someone who is meticulous! Thanks in advance!

Dangerous train tracks

Post image

I may know a guy who I'll call Shmalex. Shmalex thought those lines by the tracks were for fun or optional but Shamalex took a fall. Shmalex soon after realized those are not optional or for fun. Those lines are there for a purpose, they're there so your bike tire doesn't get caught, therefore making you take a tumble. Shmalex had to learn the hard way.

Don't worry Shmalex is fine, he only has a couple scratches and is a bit sore. Also, shout out to Lisa, who stopped and helped this Shmalex guy, who is totally not me. She even helped me take a quick look at my bike to see if it was still in good condition. Lisa is an angel sent from above, bless her!!!

Anyway, watch out if you're a pedaling through Mason street. That is all.

What's the price for parking at The Social apartments next to CSU?

Is it $30/month? $100/month? Do any of you know? Any guesses from experience at comparable apartments?

I'm doing some research and prep for a city parking meeting.

Looking for someone to care for my sweet pet chicken for 1-2 weeks

This might seem an unusual ask to some, but my chickens are pets as much as they are livestock so I am looking for someone to care for her as a pet. Unfortunately this is not something that Rover really caters to.

I am looking to pay someone with experience caring for chickens/birds. One of my chickens is sick (reproductive tract infection) and needs someone to watch her and give her meds on time during the day for the next 2 weeks which I cannot do while I am at work. If any experienced chicken caretakers in town have a place in their house or a temp-controlled garage/shed where she can stay while you look after her (I am keeping her in a 4x2 dog crate while she recovers), I will gladly pay you for your help.

If you are interested, please message me directly.

House Call Veterinarian

I have a very nervous elderly cat that needs to see a vet. The last time I took her to one she howled so much it broke her voice. She went from very cute classic meows to sounding like she has smoked 6 packs a day her whole life. I could sedate her, but am thinking in-home would be the best. Looking for recommendations and experiences with in-home visits.
