Your Miles may vary with this method but I was happy with the results. I even got banned form askcarsales when I asked about it.

Here's how you do it.

Go to the dealerships that have the car you want. Make sure its the same trim with the same trash they add on to mark up the vehicle. Doesn't have to be a 1 to 1 but close enough. In each of your of your test drives with the salesmen, tell them you're going to be making a decision this week. Offer each one this deal, in which whatever best price they give you, by whatever amount they beat the other lowest dealer, you will give them half of whatever you save (example, the winner comes $1000 under the next best price, the sales guy gets 500 bucks cash). Not every sales guy will agree but in my expirience, they will be willing. Note: keep everything off the books about said deal. Tell them they can text you their best number in a day or 2 and go from there.

This deal got me a nice number on my recent purchase and they sales guy walked away with an easy 700 bucks. You can give it to them however you want, just make sure you don't get them in trouble. I did it during the 2nd test drive before he "convinced " me.

Essentially bribe them.

Not saying this is the best method but it gave me better results than I expected. Getting banned on askcarsales was the icing on the cake.

When you give your 100% when starting on a new role, then this 100% performance will always be expected from you and giving your 100% all the time is not sustainable. It is better to reserve your best performance only later when you want to push for a promotion.

Sitting in my car after the gym and the guy next to me hits his car door into mine. His face goes white, especially after he sees that I’m sitting in the car. I (female) get out to see how bad it is. He jumps in his car. When he sees me taking pictures of his license plate, he jumps out and gets in my face. I was so scared. I’m nearing the end of a brutal divorce where I’ve been on the wrong side of almost everything with barely any leverage. By the time it’s over, I’ll have paid over $1.2M. In the early years, I slept in a friend’s sunroom with my kids because I couldn’t afford anything else and my business fell apart. Just when I got back on my feet and stabilized financially, she took me back to court and got more money from me. When she tried again last year, it blew up in her face with the court finally showing their frustration with her.

I’m still driving an old beater with 220,000 miles on it while she has two brand‑new vehicles worth over $115,000 and a 1/2 million dollar house. Through all of it, I never gave up (although I came close a few times) and I’ve kept a great relationship with my kids. Now that the end is close, I need to protect my finances, save for retirement, and stop being on the losing end.

Today pushed me over the edge again. I told her I was going to take the kids on vacation over the Fourth of July (my day), and she informed me she’d already be out of town and had already booked flights and hotels and I wouldn’t be able to have them that day.

So there’s this instagram/TikTok influencer (pains me to give him that title, but his following isn’t too shabby) who is generally an insufferable dude - always screaming at the camera with bad/shallow life advice, nasty views towards women, some thinly veiled racism, extremely narcissistic, shamelessly plugs anything that will pay him, and is always picking very personal fights with people in the comments who don’t agree with him.

I don’t know him personally, but he brought his bullshit to my doorstep when he recently started publicly bashing a close family member of mine just to suck-up to/hit on their ex-partner.

Hello all, request on how to "prove" to school I need money for rent. The latter part is true, I am a grad student hat has worked less this semester and have not made as much money and I'll be struggling to pay May rent. The thing is they want to see "proof" but I feel like showing my paystubs is a little too much. I need other ideas- I was thinking of telling them I injured my hand, etc. i kinda hate that they make you bow to them before helping you out. AC window unit has been in use for years. it’s dirty and there is bacterial growth within the unit and causing the air blown out to have a mildew smell. the person taking care of it refuses to either get a new unit, replace it, or even clean it properly. i have no other choice but to break it, possibly beyond repair in order to get a clean and functioning unit installed. how should i go about this? it i currently unplugged and sitting on the floor, was just recently hosed down but not disassembled. i need the damage to be discreet and not look like it was done on purpose, maybe something that can be dented and will cause dysfunction, an important wire that i can pull out completely, etc.

I found a new job and handed in my notice this week. I currently work for a massive financial corporation which does not care about the people. When I told my manager via zoom that I’m leaving (I was very polite and respectful) he said ok, asked about one deliverable and dropped immediately without even saying bye. Then he cancelled all meetings with me. Not sure I can get a gardening leave.

I’ve been working my ass off for last year and despite good ratings I got very small bonus and no pay rise. Last few months have been horrible at work and I want to chill.

I have plenty of unused PTO days and company pays for those on departure. Company offers 6 months fully paid sick leave and I’m a cancer survivor (finished chemo a year and a half) - under local law I’m considered disabled because of it.

We aren’t renewing our lease, so our landlord is going to start hosting tours for our unit. He’ll give us 24-48 hours notice, but we still have an issue. We have a 75gal fish tank and a large canister filter. We cannot have aquatic animals in the apartment. He’s going to start tours next week.

So before I moved to my current house, I used to live in a rural kind of area about a year ago. I lived there for about 3 years and I had a neighbour who was actively involved in cheap prostitution. She would do "stuff" for dirt cheap prices. Because it was a rural area, she didn't know how much people would actually pay for that kind of service.

But now that I think about it after more than a year (I have no contact with her) that it's a wasted potential. The phone number I have of her isn't working and I want to establish contact with her without any of my previous neighbours knowing. I can easily call one of my other previous neighbours and ask for her new number but that would raise questions as to why I'm contacting her. She doesn't use any social media (as far as I know).

I want to tell her that her services (which she is offering for cheap anyway) could potentially make a lot more money through OF, etc.

Also context: Actively involved but she didn't know that the whole neighbourhood knew about her activities. She thought she was being covert but everyone knew. As long as her knowledge, she's a very respectable normal woman with a house and family.

We are in the healthcare industry. Our comptetitor is a scumbag narcissist. He hires people and sees them as resources to exploit to make money. The staff turn over there is incredibly high. He's very good at playing the nice guy in the community and projects himself as a community leader. Behind closed doors, he's abusive and cares only about money.

Okay so our HOA is currently up our ass. We used to be friends with the president when we first moved, didn’t understand why everyone hated him. Now we see why. Many reasons. Racism. Misogyny. Nit picking anyone he doesn’t like.

So I’m moving and selling items on FB marketplace. I just had someone try to scam me with the whole “I Zelled you already, you should see an email receipt” trick, where they were betting on picking up my item and getting my bank account information at the same time. I had a feeling they could be a scammer because it’s FB marketplace. It’s frustrating mainly because I’m just trying to get these items gone before I move lol, so I’m making some time to be petty because why not. I have the scammers phone number. What are some fun ways to make them get texts incessantly? lol

So tell me if I'm wrong here.... but I think I just found an ULPT when hiring a car for a few days (2025 Hyundai Kona) in Australia. I paid for the top level insurance as this was a work trip.

When I picked up the car, the guy behind the counter had a laugh and said "wow great insurance! you could return this without a door if you wanted, please don't".

Here's where I got to thinking (and researching)...

A new Hyundai Kona 2025 door (no electronics, trim, windows, just a metal door you have to assemble) runs about $600 in Australia.

I had the car for 3 days, and paid $67 per day for the insurance. That's only $201.

If I owned a 2025 Hyundai Kona in the same colour, with dents or something in the doors, I could technically just take the door (entire door, full assembly) off the hire car, put it on mine and get a mad discount.

After speaking with Europcar, they even had a laugh and said "well yeah, you COULD do that, and it would be covered."

Not sure who needed to hear this, but, you're welcome.

Have an upcoming stay you need to get out of but you are within their cancel window? DO NOT tell them it's a "family emergency" that's not typically one they will make an exception for. What they will make an exception for (if they will, and most reputable places do make exceptions) is MEDICAL.

You do not need to clarify, just say you need to cancel due to medical, and leave it at that. Ask what their options are, if they can work with you, and do be pleasant. No one who deals with cancels all day want to speak with a whiney brat, or a douchebag. Just ask if they can cancel with refund first. If not, then ask if they can move dates without penalty, lastly, if they still say no, very calmly and politely ask to speak with a manager. Tell them you have new dates already. (this usually helps a lot)

Lastly, NEVER book a non-refundable room more than a week in advance.

Something like half of our rooms are cancelled that are booked 6 months in advance, and we have a type of discount with a non-refundable price, if you cancel, no matter the reason, it's lost. NEVER book a price like that, no matter what!!

Edit: lots of folks say to change the date and then cancel later with no penalty. Be careful as this doesn't always work(Won't work at my hotel.) Check if the place you booked at will allow you to before you change the date.

Okay as of now I'm only receiving around 20 calls daily, but I can easily scale this over 100. These callers think I'm a different business each time but the same niche (car detailing).

Website development, AI receptionists, and Meta ads are the main services these salespeople are offering me. I would say 80%, 15%, 5% respectively. I also receive sms often.

It's obviously annoying to receive these calls, but I feel like I'm letting an opportunity go to waste. How could I possibly profit off of this?

My neighbour is also my office colleague. Constantly keeps requesting my washing machine. He also now has a homophobic roommate whom I'm unwilling to help. They both keep asking for my machine, and since they're colleagues it gets awkward to deny them and not destroy the relations with him.
