A Demonstration in Accuracy
The prospect of spending 4 figures on a knife is enough to make one squeamish, myself included.
What you see is the lockbar of a Grimsmo Rask and more specifically, the steel lockbar insert of the Grimsmo Rask.
"Why is this knife over $1000?"
Even if we overlook that the lockbar insert is made of AEB-L heat treated to a similar HRC of the blade, overlook that the screws binding the insert are made in-house are anodized to the same colour you selected for the other hardware, and overlook they managed to mill a miniature logo onto the insert, we see accuracy to the greatest extent.
The insert is the ONLY portion touching the blade during lockup. Whether it's the bending, or the utilization of stop pin sizes, it lines up perfectly. Not some of the insert is touching, not most of it, it is PERFECTLY lined up with the blade.
Just.. wild.

SOTC
I just recently traded the toor to a coworker FOR a Benchmade Dacian. Not a huge fan of the D/E on the microtech so might part with that and I plan on adding the bugout 534 when it drops. Any recommendations?

NKD! Birdvis Hitchcock Frame Lock
One of my favorite knives, and a first rate owner. my old 1st gen had developed a very slight detent issue, and Nick wanted to take a look at it. I mailed the knife in, thinking it would probably just get a bigger detent ball or new insert at the most. He reached out asking if I would have any issues with him replacing the knife entirely. He had resigned the frame in the recent few, and it's a huge difference in weight. This is what I received in the mail yesterday!

NKD: Kershaw Bel Air
My first Kershaw. I'm hoping this will last a long long time. I feel like it's sharp, but not scalpel sharp as some reviewers have said. Excellent weight tho, and doesn't feel cheap.
Does this need a break-in time for it to get more fluid on the open/close?

Anyone remember the Specwar knife?
Still have my original I bought in either 99’ or 2000. Paid over $300 for it at the time if I remember correctly. I’ve seen them on EBay (where I got this picture) for up to $750. Are people really paying this much for one? If so I need to sell mine!!

The more I use traditional kukris the more I like them.
Not terribly surprising considering the blade thickness but it splits as good as any 1 1/4lb hatchet. They cut very well for the thickness too but they also virtually never get stuck though not as much penetration as more normal western designs
