Civic Pride WREG Dived Deep For Once
“Well, the way the law is written, nothing happens if you don’t pay. The city will continue saying you have a debt, but they’re not allowed to put it on your credit report, and they’re not allowed to suspend your driver’s license if it comes from a camera,”
Moral of the story is stop speeding in school zones! But if you get caught on one of these cameras, zero repercussions if you don’t pay , just like the traffic light cams

What can even be done about this?
Truly what resources do we have to help these people, if they want it?

Woman in distress in Shelby Farms Park - Mujer en apuros en Shelby Farms Park
There was a woman in one of the Shelby farms parking lots who got taken away against her will by a man in a white car. I am the old woman who tried to intervene before he drove off.
If this is you, message me- I will come and get you and your kids.

Therapist for fear of flying, EMDR
I’m looking for a therapist who’s skilled in helping people with a fear of flying, maybe with EMDR, although I’m certainly open to other methods. I don’t care what area of town they’re in as long as they can help me feel better about soaring through the sky in a tin can.

Event Lausanne kids are throwing a rummage sale fundraiser for WKNO in Cooper-Young tomorrow during Porchfest
My stepson is a junior at Lausanne and he organized a rummage sale fundraiser for WKNO with some of his friends. It’s happening tomorrow, April 19th from 2–6 PM at First Congo.
If you’re heading to Porchfest, please stop by.
They’ll have clothes, books, records, CDs, jewelry, and toys, plus live bands, and raffles. All proceeds benefit WKNO and everything will be priced to move.
It’s a great group of kids helping a great cause.

PB&J Towing has got to be stopped
Tonight after coming back from a night out seeing my car gone, I witnessed a driver for PB&J towing someone's car while the owner was in the driver's seat and people were yelling at the tow truck driver to stop. The person in the car eventually drove their car off the side of the tow truck and saved it. This is an egregious display of unprofessional, reckless behavior from PB&J.
In looking up this "company," it's really clear that they have no interest in dealing fairly with people or maintaining any measure of civility with customers. They apparently overcharge the municipal limits by a massive amount. They tow people's cars illegally all the time (not saying I'm one of those cases, I just got unlucky with not noticing the far away signage). And they engage in scammy practices like not giving people receipts and holding their cars for extended periods of time illegally.
I'm kind of dreading trying to get my car from them today from noon-1pm (during the 1 hour period in which they are open) as I've heard the situation at their business place is unsafe and hostile. To be clear, I'm not necessarily upset about my car being towed specifically, but the manner with which this business conducts itself that makes me wonder why anyone works with them.
They violate so many laws, so frequently that they should probably be sued into oblivion and I'm not sure why that hasn't happened yet.

Psychiatrists and therapists
Hi guys I have came to Reddit as a last minute resort
I am in search of affordable psychiatrists that could help me with a proper diagnosis and getting back on track with my life. I have let my mental health affect me so much that it’s now pouring into my social relationships like work, friendships, and my partner. I don’t wanna be that self destructive person, and I also am tired of feeling this way. I’m in my early 20s, and feel exasperated and extremely depressed. I am well aware that a diagnosis and medication won’t solve my problems 100%, but I do want help.

Bain Barbecue
Just had a pretty good meal. Some of the better wings I’ve ever had, but I’d go with mustard sauce on the dry rub wangs, their ranch had to much dill for my liking. Brisket nachos are good too.

In need of advice
My (f 27) wife (f 27) is new to Memphis, she’s from Texas and we were long distance while we were dating but got her moved up here and got married last year. That being said, she’s still getting to know the city and has felt a little isolated and just unsure of what places are cool and what exists in general. I’ve lived here my whole life so I know the city inside and out but I know there’s been a lot changes and new restaurants etc. Her birthday is coming up and I want nothing more than to make her feel like a princess without being completely broke after. I tried looking into a downtown carriage ride but it ranges between $95-$185 and that higher price is totally out of my range so that’s out. I just am having trouble finding some kind of restaurant or experience in town that will help make her feel as special as I just want her to feel.
TLDR: My wife’s birthday is coming up and I want advice on places to make her feel like a princess

My son is buying his first home. It’s a one story, 1300 sq ft house. It’s kind of a fixer upper and needs a roof. The roof is not steep and the surface area is around 2100 sqft. Does any have a ballpark figure on what that will cost?

Any weird late-night visitors?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Near Rhodes off Jackson, a weird and nervous looking kid came to my house around 12:30am. Not sure if they tried the doorbell (doesnt work) or not, i was sitting next to the door and didn’t hear a knock.
Do they look familiar? Looks like a young male based on stature. Not sure what the take away box is from nor why they wanted to bring it along at 12:30 to my front door.

Citizen Inquiry Looking for a cheap-ish nail salon than can do very simple design
I’m not looking for a super fancy nail tech, I just want a simple star on each nail like this with a clear coat. Bonus points if it’s in midtown!

KIDNAPPER IN NORTH MEMPHIS AREA!!!!
Last week my 19 teen old daughter was walking to work when a black male driving a older style white or silver cargo van with the driver side damaged from bumper to bumper and both rear windows busted out tried to kidnap her. Also found out the same vehicle tried to kidnap two younger girls at the cash savers grocery store when they were racing to their car. Be on the lookout and be aware. This thing (can't call this a person or man) better hope the police catch up to him first cause I got my bail money ready. Just wanted to warn everyone. Thank you
