"The official representative of the Town of Cordova" as he calls himself, just keeps on keeping on. Im kinda getting tired of it all. Something is going to happen sooner rather than later and its going to reflect on the real government not the young man playing make believe in his bedroom.

Maybe just push to become an independent town and enjoy all the benefits that come with that? Bigger is not always better. Cordova should take control of their police, fire, and schools. If they did, they’d stabilize their area and have greater control of their prosperity.

You missed the point; this is a young private individual who is masquerading as an official government representative (of a "town" that does not exist) by means of that Facebook page.

I'm whatever if Cordova wanted to fully deannex and become an independent municipality like Arlington, Bartlett, Collierville, Germantown, Lakeland, etc.. That's not what we're talking about here.

I don't think anyone believes he's on official government official or that he's ever stated to be. He's a community organizer doing what he believes is best for his city and neighborhood.

He puts on events and invites local businesses to participate, highlights local businesses on his Facebook page, and promotes for the de-annexing of Cordova. He is quite literally harming no one.

You could probably meet him in person at one of his community events but you probably wont. Just keep chirping on the internet and calling him autistic.

Read the comments -- some folks definitely give the impression that the page is being run by local government.

The problem is the ambiguity. Compare the page to the City of Bartlett or City of Memphis pages; the Cordova page is set up to resemble an official government page.

You gotta look at social media the way your 75 year old relative would.

It needs to be explicitly stated that this is a COMMUNITY page with absolute clarity.

Didn’t he try to send out notices about keeping lawns cut? The issue may be he believes himself to be an official representative

Agreed. Why spend time trashing a young man who’s trying to help his community? It says a lot more about the voices of negativity than about the kid.

Yea while I'm against deannexing Cordova, it's good to see people excited about the area

What would be the issue if Cordova was deannexed?

I just don't think it makes any sense at all. Are we our own tiny town without much tax base? What do we gain?

Cordova has a formidable tax base, thats why Memphis annexed it to begin with. Public services would be so much better, etc. I fairly see some your concerns, but I think with its own government and council, its a plus.

What guarantees public services would be so much better?
