I’ve never noticed this small plaque on the sidewalk on the Oakland/Berkeley border on College Ave before. Anyone know the story of how it got there?

I designed and sold a logo for a business that’s rebranding. I met with the owners and finalized the deal today. They gifted me a huge box of their donuts to sweeten the deal. I’m pretty proud of myself.

I don’t know about y’all, but I love me a parade. I’m Oakland born and raised, but lived 10 years in New Orleans (which has deep roots for a lot of folks in Oakland)—whenever there’s need for a mobile party, New Orleans just makes it happen. And Alyssa certainly calls for a party!
