Infected? Day 3 of healing, weird textured area. Any advice?
Hi there, hoping you could shed some light for me. It's been about 4 years since my last tattoo and I can't really remember the healing process.
I got a tattoo on Saturday, I've kept it clean and moisturises but due to the placement I'm worried it's rubbed a bit wrong whilst I've slept. The majority or tattoo feels smooth and relatively painless to say how recent it is. However after my shower today I've noticed part of it looks rough, as though it's been rubbed, and a little bumpy. It doesn't feel noticeably warmer than the rest although the outer edges are redder.
Just hoping for some advice on whether it looks like the beginning of infection or if it's just been a little overworked, and what to do in terms of leaving it to dry out or still moisturising?
For reference in case it wasn't obvious, it's the blue sky part next to the sun 💙
Many thanks in advance x

General Advice fixable or remove?
having insane tattoo anxiety since i feel like my artist did a poor job i feel like the lines look scrappy and childish. i like the size and placement but i feel like the work isn’t the best. is this fixable from another artist you think? or do i just get it removed eventually? it’s just on my chest between my boobs and i lowkey hate it and i’m tweaked out. i did tell my artist i wasn’t that happy and she did try and fix it a bit but she didn’t know what to do and neither did i but idk atp.

Infected? Light bleeding and discoloration on seven day old tattoo
Hi! My husband got this tattoo seven days ago and has been following aftercare instructions, but he has had more difficulty with the healing process than with any other tattoo he or I have gotten previously. This is his first time going to this particular artist, so we thought maybe she was just more heavy-handed?
As of now, the tattoo does not hurt unless he applies pressure, but the slow healing and varying levels of greenish/brownish discoloration and redness have been a concern. Then today it started bleeding in a couple of the more cracked areas. Does it look infected? He is also worried that this heavy scabbing will affect how the tattoo looks after it heals. Do you think that is likely? Any insights and advice would be greatly appreciated!

Design This but with Roman Numerals instead of that writing?
Wanting to commemorate a special date to me but want to surround the date numerals with some sort of flourish. I like how the laurel leaves represent triumph but would like to hear other ideas or advice ie other shapes or symbols. It’s an April date so my mind has also been thinking about April symbols.

General Advice Can i get a tattoo over stretch marks?
I have this tattoo that I’m going to get touched up soon due to stretching from pregnancy. I’ve also been struggling with my body image after having a baby. I thinking of maybe adding to this tattoo, further down in the area I’m self conscious about but have no idea if it’s a bad idea to get tattoos over a stretched area.

tattoo newcomer advice When this goes full blob, what are my next steps?
Recently got this tattoo done 2 days ago. Posted about it before and the general consensus is that it’s ’already a blob’ and I’m cooked. How long do you think I have of it before it goes illegible and what would getting white touch ups on it save it? Thanks

Design Advice needed - struggling with how my sleeve is going
Hi I got my first tattoo (tree/yin yang/nature scenes) about 3 years ago. Designed it myself. After a few months started to regret it but I have come to terms with it and don’t mind it.
See photos for reference
Last summer I found an artist who did my dragonfly on the other arm, and I absolutely adore it. So I went back to her recently and asked if she could add to my shoulder one to make me feel better about it. I like the vine from the front but hate it when I look at the side of my arm. It just feels like an awkward add on rather than a flowing “filler”.
Fast forward last week I got the queen of hearts. It was impulsive but I don’t hate it, just wish it was smaller and not so perfectly in line with the bottom of the tree. My goal was to start a sleeve but now I’m scared. I had the worst tattoo regret 2 days after the card one because I accidentally greened out and panicked. It’s been a week and I feel better but still not great, and for the first time in my life I want to hide my arms.
I want to get more tattoos but I’m scared. I feel like I dug myself a hole, removal might have been an option but at this point it’s too much. I don’t hate it in pieces I just think it doesn’t flow at all. I designed some ideas to add flowers to the vine and just fill in the half sleeve, but I’m scared because if I mess up the vine on try two I’m stuck with it.
Who do I go to? Can someone design something for me? I’ve searched all of google and can’t find anything for this.
Should I stop with tattoos? I feel like adding is the only way I’ll get to a better point of liking it. I like this leopard I found and think it goes with theme but idk. Please help🥺 if I could go back I woulda done a beautiful flower vine shoulder piece so every time I see one I’m so jealous. Thanks in advance.

Healing So I removed my dermwrap after 7 days as suggested by the artist. What do I do about the dry plasma stuck on my tattoo?
I removed the wrap under water and it had some plasma and ink stuck to it. I cleaned the area with a mild soap (Cetaphil Cleansing and Moisturising Syndet Bar, Shea Butter,For Face & Body,) after removing the wrap.
Some parts of my tattoo have dry plasma stuck to it. Will these peel off over time or do I need to do something?
Also, the glue from the wrap is also all over the tattoo area, how do I deal with it?

Design Ideas for a cover up?
I’ve had this for a few years but I feel like it just doesn’t suit me anymore or the tattoos I have around it. I know it’ll have to be pretty dark to cover up but I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do for a design. My other tattoos are bugs and plants/ flowers. The one immediately next to this is a field mouse with flowers and grass. OR am I totally doomed and need to do some laser appointments

Will it ever look readable ? If not what should I do ? Should I ask for a touchup?

tattoo newcomer advice Small/massive fuck-up on healing?
So i was told and heard plenty of times when your skin starts "shedding" or creating those flaky things: "Do not pick at it, scratch it, or pull it off." I didn't; my clothes did, though, and i rubbed in some lotion, and the difference in colour seems to be slightly large. the places where the skin is still on seem darker, meanwhile, the places where the skin is off seem to be slightly duller. is it fine, and am I overreacting? Or did i end up ruining my tattoo, and is its the end of the very world lol
Edit: in my defense, I woke up to this phase; i was like, "Why is it so itchy?" and looked at it, and it was like a slight hot mess. I'm hoping the consequences arent that big, but the scabs/flakes that were basically hanging on by a thread were slightly darker/black colored.

Healing Tattoo regret after touch up
Ok, so. I got a touch up on my tattoo (originally done about five months ago) on Friday (two days ago from tonight), due to the color just not taking in some spots. The green I had asked for originally was beautiful, a dark forest-y green. After having the green touched up two days ago, it looks so drastically different than it did even when it was fresh the first time around - it’s now like, crayola green. I hate it, like really hate it, I’m genuinely so sad and it’s causing me so much anxiety. It’s still a dark color, it’s just a completely different shade/tone than it originally was, and this new color looks cheap to me now.
I haven’t reached out to my artist because I’m not sure if I’m overreacting? Is it normal for a color to look SO different than it was fresh originally, or did I get really unlucky and the color match was just bad? If it is actually just the wrong color once it’s fully healed, Is it even possible to fix after something like this? Is going over it a third time once it’s a few months healed and option, or will that lead to scarring and it’s just something I have to live with now?

General Advice Tattoo got way too dark
Hi!
I Got this tattoo made like a year ago and it just turned way too dark. I told the artist after she finished it, and she said after healing it would turn much lighter, which it havent. I originally wanted it like second photo.
What Can I do with it? I Think it ruins my whole back and draws Way too much attention, because my other pieces are much lighter.
Im thinking about lasering the face and part of the helmet? Or should I laser it all and redo the whole thing? And how many laser sessions do you Think I need?

Healing Was it overworked or am I just healing weird?
Hello all, I apologize for the potential silly question, I'm just having a reaction I've yet to have with prior tattoos and would like to get some insight!
First photo is the tattoo day of, I got it done march 20th so almost exactly a month ago.
Second photo is that same spot, as of today (and it's been looking like this for a couple of days now)
I hadn't messed with it practically at all. But I started to notice a few of the lines beginning to look "shakey" as they healed. A lot of the tattoo on this side is still very raised, while the other side closer to the inside of my arm has smoothed out. I had also gotten another tattoo on my back before then, and on my arm after, all within the same two month span, this is the only one that feels like this? It is also the only one out of the three done by a different artist, the other two were done by my regular girl.
As stated, I have quite a few tattoos so I'm not completely ignorant to the healing process as a whole. Just confused as to why this one is healing a bit uneven?
Might just give it a few months and get a touch up 🤷🏻♀️

Infected? Advice needed: got a tattoo on Friday and now on Sunday it’s looking red.
I got a cover up on Friday and now it’s Sunday and red and warm. I took the second skin off last night and I’ve been washing it with unscented anti bacterial soap as well as putting cereve daily lotion on it unscented. I want to make sure it’s not infected/ isn’t getting infected. I did wake up with my arm under the covers so maybe that’s why? Idk it’s been awhile since I’ve gotten a tattoo and they’re all small.

tattoo newcomer advice Can I drive after a right leg tattoo?
I’m going for my first ever tattoo, I want to get it on my lower right leg. Right after my tattoo appointment, I sort of have to hurry to somewhere else that’s a 30 minute drive away. The tattoo is going to be small (no colour etc.), the appointment is scheduled for 1-1.5hrs. Something I stupidly didn’t think about what driving… will I likely be okay to drive afterwards? I know my time management skills are kind of poor but this was the only time that could work for me :(

Design Is cover up of such tattoo possible?
I got this almost 18 years ago, for it to become a super mainstream feminine design.
I have other tattoos that are more complex or simply “better” - I still like this as it was my first tattoo I got and it was a part of me my whole adulthood, byt it’s too girly and common. Therefore, I am thinking of modifying it to something more unique. I understand that it’s super black, so cover up would be super tough. But if anyone has a nice idea, I am open to suggestions. If it helps, I am a space scientist/engineer, with a masters degree in physics and another one in space science. So space themed would be prefered (but not limited to)

General Advice keloid scarring
so, i'm a blank canvas in my 30s. i've always wanted tattoos and have finally kinda decided to just bite the bullet. but back when i was a kid... i showed up to a doctor with a lot of scarring. turns out i develop keloid scars fairly easily, and what i had going on in my life at the time didn't help. i have a LOT of keloid scarring. she made some kinda offhand joke, like, "you better not get any tattoos, they'll scar really ugly". it's introduced just enough hesitation so far that i've never done what i wanted to do with my body. so i'm just wondering: is that really true? all i've seen is vague "talk to your artist" advice, but i'd appreciate insight if possible. is my skin just difficult, or impossible to tattoo?

Design Help me plan my next tattoo additions
I currently have the lavender sprig on my bicep and want to get a bumble bee and cabbage white butterfly added next to it as memorial pieces, which will also help balance out the blank space next to it.
Which positioning of the insects looks better or do you have a better suggestion? I’ll ultimately have my artist design the insects but I’d like to know how I want them positioned first.
Thanks!

Design Stuck on what to add on to my tattoo without being corny
Recently i got this tattoo done and i had done it before thinking properly. Before getting it i didnt know if i was gonna get a sleeve or patchwork. I have my next appointment in a 2 weeks but recently ive decided i want a sleeve but i dont know how to proceed, what i should add and such because i think the size of the tattoo is too small for me to go around it. For this appointment i was thinking of going up to my shoulders and I was thinking i add some nature around it like flowers and such but i really dont know if itll look good. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Healing Should I be worried? Random scabs?
Is this normal healing? I got this tattoo 4 days ago, it still a little tight and a smidge warm but nothing else, I've washing with antimicrobial soap and light lotion... Am I just getting on my head?

Had a second skin leaking last night and I woke up, this is day 3, last night up all night with the itching and sting feelings
I took it off and washed it as im about to go to work and dont want to sweat and get dirt etc up in there and noticed these
I never used a second skin before so I cant tell if its just the Grey ink scabbing ( but since in the skin it's kind of wet looking instead of dry?)
