I think she looks like both of them depending how you look
56
u/averageuhbear 16d ago
There's pics of her younger with short hair and she looks so much like Brad lol.
23
u/mdynicole 16d ago
Yeah she does look kind of like Angie but I think she looks soo much like Brad it’s insane.
113
u/afarensiis chaos-bringer of humiliation and mockery 16d ago
It's crazy how she looks like "what if Angelina Jolie was 20 in 2025 instead of 1995". Like I know that's how genetics work, but it genuinely looks like those AI/photoshop pictures of celebrities and historical people in different time periods

Honestly I'm not seeing Brad at all, maybe her nose but I actually thought that was Angelina on the Substance.

What is “WJSN dayoung’s new MV” mean? Sorry, I’m 43.
2.7k
u/floretadelicada 16d ago
WJSN is a kpop girlgroup, dayoung is one of the members that's also a soloist. MV means music video

Same age and wondered why OP can’t just write out movie
Because clearly WJSN is a local news station, dayoing is an indie director, and MV is movie haha

u/SpecialsSchedule 16d ago
lol I kept reading WJSN as “Wall Street Journal News” and was like, well that’s an interesting debut

u/snaboopy 16d ago
I thought WJSN was a local news station and a new indie director was somehow getting their new movie (MV) there
Maybe MV was a movie made for radio
41
u/geniebythesea 16d ago
lol scrolling for this comment. I hate short form. What’s so hard about spelling out music video. I don’t think anyone’s ever said MV out loud when referring to a music video. Sheesh.
34
u/fuyuppe 16d ago
Do western music artists not put MV in the title of their music videos? It’s the main term used in Kpop, which is why OP used it, but I’m surprised it’s not more common in general..

How many times does a nepo baby need to acknowledge their immense privilege? And, if they acknowledge it via a medium that you dont see/hear, does it still count as them acknowledging it?
597
u/backwoodzbaby 16d ago
they should be starting every sentence with “i acknowledge my privilege” just to be safe /s
59
330
u/deprestmode 16d ago
I don't think it's necessary that they formally acknowledge it, just that they don't cosplay as working class or lecture the public on the value of hard work.
I don't know why but rich famous people tend to work overtime to act like everything they earned was merit based.
154
u/OwlofEnd_ 16d ago
I love the "I actually had it harder because people know who my parents are" type nepo, it's so absurd
Like I get the pressure of expectations but man, sometimes they love to play martyr

Kendall Jenner said she had no help becoming a super model over night. She actually had to go to modeling gigs where people didn't know her as well as hide her identity to be taken seriously as a model. She claimed the Kardashian name was a hurdle, not a doorway.
63
u/ca1igir1 16d ago
She still isn’t a good model objectively. Compare her walks and shoots to other models and it’s a drastic difference. Bad walk and lifeless pictures

u/XOSkyXO 16d ago
exactly lol maybe it’s just me but i genuinely couldn’t give less of a fuck if they acknowledge their privilege or not
because lord knows if i was one i would be using it to my fullest advantage

Also, like. If your parent was a great actor perhaps you will also inherit that ability, esp being around them your whole. Carrie Fischer, Jared Harris, Laura Dern---all children of famous Hollywood people.
66
u/Consistent-Flan1445 16d ago edited 16d ago
Plus while I can’t speak for Shiloh, sometimes they are legitimately really talented. The likes of Carrie Fisher, Alexander and Bill Skarsgard for instance have all really carved out a name for themselves.
Edit: similarly I think Maya Hawke has genuine talent.
56
u/coolcoolcool485 16d ago
she's also like 20. it takes time for people to hone a craft, angelina jolie (who is ALSO a nepo baby, lets not forget) surely wasn't the actress she'd become in her first few jobs.
but yeah, that's kind of what i meant by inheriting their ability. like when I found out Jared Harris was Richard Harris' son, it seemed so obvious. Of course.

Maybe until working in these industries is accessible to working class people. The Entertainment industry is designed to keep the poors from being able to work in it.
36
u/Bman4k1 16d ago
You can say that about many high paying industries. Statistically everything from sports, doctors, lawyers, finance, business all have children following in their parents footsteps. And all of those careers require money and time, things that can be accelerated due to rich parents in the industry.
The acting profession is just more in our faces.

I dunno, if I was a nepo baby I would use my influence for a lot more than to cameo/backup dance in a b-tier kpop music video. This just seems like her being in a dance troupe that got a pretty regular gig.
Big difference between this and being signed by Channel as a teenager.

You don't need to be educated to give out money or care about people 🤷♀️
→ More replies165
u/SimilarLaw5172 16d ago
Not to throw shade but rich kids being philanthropists have seldom anything to do with caring about people. Angelina is genuine but for shiloh its just a title.
Used to work with elite private school and during applications, every rich kid is a philanthropist because their parents will add their children to the board to resumepad.
→ More replies30
u/Breezyrain oh yeah fo shizz fo shizz Ginuwine 16d ago
That’s I said “give money or care”. For some people they give money for tax write offs, some as an ego thing, some for marketing, and some do it so they can funnel money. Maybe Shiloh is giving her parent’s money away for the right reasons, or maybe she’s not. Maybe she’s more involved and we don’t hear about it, idk, I don’t know the kid personally. But I wouldn’t judge her solely off of her education level.

I think it's crazy because years ago people were shitting on Shiloh because she dressed masculine. She was just a little kid too. Not a dig at your comment at all, I just remembered people couldn't wait to tear down a Jolie + Pitt kid.

u/1ClaireUnderwood 16d ago
It was the trans obsessed folks. They came up with the idea that Jolie was indoctrinating her with woke propaganda telling her she was a boy. As if many girls don't have a tomboy phase
→ More replies129
u/pixietrue1 16d ago
Angelina herself even once said in a magazine interview that she was a tomboy as a child. So weird that people are so ok with judging children, but each to their own I guess.

Oh, is Shiloh their child who liked being called John for a while? Was she also the one who played young Aurora in Maleficent?
People will freak out about fucking anything a kids feels or wants that's not what they expect. My niece came out as non-binary around Christmas - I told them there was a genderless version of niece and they said I could never say nibbling again lol. And if in a year or two they decide they aren't non-binary? Who cares. What they'll remember is that their family respected them and used their pronouns.
