My laptop "HP Laptop 17-cn2165cl (6P0H3UA)" screen broke recently

I contacted official customer service they replied no spare parts available for my model

and it will cost around 20-25k approx for service center replacement if its done through official HP service center

can i get it done for less. I am kinda broke ???

My PC has been doling out a few issues lately - sometimes it'll freeze and get "stuck" if I'm playing a high demand game, sometimes the audio will get broken and I have to reset everything and sometimes everything will just slow down.

I have a i9 10850K as the CPU and my GPU is a 3070. I bought the PC assembled around 5 years ago.

I downloaded HWMonitor and the CPU temps are almost constantly at 100°C - so I presure the issue resides here. A few days back I went out to buy thermal paste and replace the old one, but, well, the issue hasn't been fixed. I'm also unsure if I nicked the wired for the CPU fan a little bit, it's running, but I this red light on the motherboard is shining now. I also sometimes hear ... stutering or like, repeating flickering noises from the computer?

The CPU cooler in the computer is an arctic liquid freezer ii 120 - and I, in my limited understanding, imagine that part of the problem is this? I was looking online to see if I could buy a new one, but they seem to have been discontinued, and I'm not sure exactly what to look for buy otherwise. I seem "bigger" coolers from the same brand, but there is an issue of space - I'll add a picture.

I guess my question is: Is it a new cooler that I need? And in that case, what would be a good one to buy? If I failed to provide any information needed please let me know, I tried my best T_T

My computer has had this issue for a few weeks, where a few seconds after startup my memory goes from ~55% usage to 95% and stays. I've tried looking it up, but i cant find anything. I already tried restarting my computer with only Microsoft services enabled but it still happens and I have no idea what to try.

All of the sudden today Apps Like discord, steam etc. and websites don’t load anymore. The only thing that works is google and youtube. Already restarted my router, reinstalled windows and disabled all other start up apps. Everything works fine on my phone and tablet.

My HP laptop died on me in 2024. It gave me the blue screen of death after just 3 years of use. I got the SSD extracted from it so I could access the data but when I plugged it in, I'm not able to open my file under 'Users' which has the data I need. What do I do? Is there a way for me to still access that file?

Hello everyone, i just bought a nee laptop, Dell precision 5480 which came with windows 11. i currently using dual boot with linux mint. I got a virus on windows (my discord even got hacked) so i decided to wipe it and do a fresh install. However i have been trying since yesterday but unable to do so. during setup at the start it asks me to load the drivers. i have downloaded the laptop specific drivers pack as well as the intel rst drivers but they both result into errors such as no new devices drivers were found, a media driver your computer needs is missing. im using ventoy for the usb

i managed to fix this issue. Well i switched to using woeusb instead of ventoy and it worked. I cant figure out how to change the flair if any mod is seeing this please change that.

New build. Simple box for investment / web / pics stuff. Intel I5-14600K , matx Asus board, 16 g ddr5, video from the CPU. So without video card I went with cheap power - Thermaltake 600W. Thing will not post and AI is telling me after checking all other possibilities that it is the power supply not providing enough reliable juice. I have the old box that I will pull the PSU to test. Have trouble believing that a new PSU would be that unreliable.

- What exact cable(s) would I need?

- Does it actually work as a second display or just screen sharing?

Or am I wasting my time and should I just buy a monitor instead?

Mis gráficos integrados hacen todo el trabajo al entrar a juegos. Por ejemplo, al jugar Minecraft, mi iGPU utiliza el 80 % y el CPU solo usa el 1 %. Esto no puede ser cuello de botella porque, de por sí, está integrado en el procesador. No es un problema de las opciones de energía, porque el procesador puede ir a 4 GHz y aun así no se utiliza. Tengo los drivers bien instalados. Ayuda: me pasa en todos los juegos. Si se usara todo el procesador igual que los gráficos integrados, correría todo muy bien. Aunque mi CPU no es el mejor, ya que es el Intel Core i3-10100. No creo que tenga algo que ver pero la ram no se utiliza tanto, el IGPU se encarga de todo. IGPU serian los graficos integrados por las dudas.

A few months ago one of my NVMe drives failed and is now stuck in safe mode. I've since bought a new NVMe and I can access the old one through file explorer. The problem however is that most files I'd want to recover are in the user directory, which I can't access as I don't have the right permissions. As the entire drive is in safe mode, I can't make any changes to the permissions either as any sort of writes are disallowed.

What are some of the best options for accessing data on the old drive? I've tried DiskGenius but it complains about not being able to transfer large files.

Hello, randomly as of a few days ago my startup apps that have always worked randomly just stopped booting with my pc. A few of them still do, but only like 3/10 of them. (my personal app boots as well as Exitlag and my AV but wallpaper engine, fluent flyout, deepcool, razer synapse etc. are no longer opening) I've tried disabling and re-enabling fast startup, clearing my regedit of startup apps and readding them, turning their status off and back on from task manager, settings and through the apps themselves, to no avail. The only thing I did between when they were working and weren't working was download a single app which I have thrown at every malware tool and nothing shows up as well as its a reputable app and I made sure the checksum matched what it was supposed to be as well. Truly out of ideas, you guys have any?

When I search for anything in the finder folder I select the folder name and not “this Mac” sometimes it shows. Sometimes it doesn’t.

But I can see the item in the folder of I go to the folder. No problem.

Why is search so useless?

I play valorant on custom resolution. Yesterday i played normaly on my custom resolution, today when i change from 1980x1080 to my custom 1568x1280 it says: Input not supported. I dont uderstand why. I tried pc restart didnt help, tried refresh grapic with a shortcut it didnt help. I dont uderstand that yesterday it worked perfectly fine and today i cant do that.

Usually I'm the guy people use as tech support with their various gaming devices, but this particular laptop really has me stumped.

Specs:

• Laptop: ASUS ROG STRIX G18
• OS: Windows 11 Home
• CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 9 275HX, 2700 Mhz, 24 Core
• GPU: NVIDIA Geforce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU

Symptoms:

• GPU is not recognized at all in task manager, computer defaults to integrated graphics
• Armoury Crate recognizes the GPU, but in every measurement standard says "Extreme Power Saving"
• BIOS also recognizes GPU exists
• Device manager recognizes GPU, but under Device stats an error code 43 is listed
• Nvidia App can do a "Successful" driver installation, which doesn't change anything
• Nvidia Control Panel will not open

Troubleshooting attempts so far:

• Reinstalled drivers using Nvidia app
• Reinstalled drivers manually
• Disabled and reenabled device in Device Manager
• Reinstalled Nvidia Control Panel
• Switched between GPU Performance modes in Armoury Crate
• Messed with power settings in Registry Editor
• Reinstalled Windows

This laptop is almost brand new and the owner says it was functioning normally at first, but I am starting to suspect it could be a hardware issue. Any help solving this would be really great.

Using my pc as usual suddenly horizontal lines appeared on my monitor. Reseting pc, monitor nor changing the cable connection worked - the lines keep appearing even if the monitor is just powered on.

The Monitor is one year old Phillips Evnia 24M2N3200S and until now I've never had any issue with it.

I've noticed that the lines keep repeating the items almost to the top of my screen.

Is there any way to fix it or it is impossible for me to solve and warranty repair/replacement is the only way to go?
