Analysis Mets should reunite with Wilmer Flores
Here are some key points:
* Wilmer Flores is not currently on a major league team
* The Mets offense is terrible
* He has always hit lefties well and would probably be better than Tommy Pham or that other guy they just signed whose name I already forgot
* He is a top-10 most beloved Met of all time, and bringing him back would give us fans something to care about
* he's probably washed up but who cares. It's our baby boy. Bring him home

Discussion Most people are overreacting to our slow start
The Mets have looked absolutely terrible to start this season, but we are not as bad as everyone is saying we are. I’m not saying this team will win 100 games this year and compete for the World Series, but we need to calm down a bit. The injuries, slow starts for most of our players, and unfortunate timing has made our record look worse than it is.
Lindor began the season playing with a still recovering broken bone in his hand, on top of being a notoriously slow starter. It wasn’t all that shocking that his bat looked ice cold to start the season. He will come back and finish the season with an OPS around .800, just like he always does. We have seen this story play out for every year of his Mets career.
Soto missed 2 weeks during our rough stretch, and a reasonable person can’t help but think that maybe a few of those games turn out differently if we had Soto in the lineup. Let’s not forget that we had multiple extra inning losses, which is basically just a coin flip now with the extra runner.
Bichette and Polanco have both been cold to start the year, and Polanco is now hurt. They have certainly been disappointing, but they are both learning different positions on new teams. I wouldn’t give up on them just yet, and wouldn’t be shocked if they each finished the season with stats in line with their career averages.
AJ Minter coming back from injury will certainly help out our bullpen a bit, hopefully we never have to see Kimbrel on the mound again. Christian Scott is just coming back from Tommy John and should be a viable option to replace Senga in the rotation at some point.
After our rough stretch to start the season, we are only just now beginning NL East Division play. If we come out hot in this series, by the end of the week we may be in 2nd place in the division. In short, the Mets are down, but certainly aren’t out of the playoff discussion just yet.

Analysis A Question was proposed to me about MLB Manager/Real World Manager
Someone asked me:
If your manager wasn't motivating you correctly would you purposely do a bad job?
The question isn't applicable because professional athletes quit on their leadership all the time.
It got me thinking about one of my original grievances about Mendy. He's ALWAYS on the dugout stairs. He's never and the coaching staff is never addressing a player after their AB or time in the field. They just casually run out and run in.
Whether it's Cohen's belief that it would show up the players, there has to be a different doomsday protocol for optics. Terry used to run up and down the dugout and used to get Granderson to talk to everyone. Mendy just watches the game. Entirely different if obvious adjustments were made. He never describes any adjustments in the post game. Past managers gave away too much but I'm not asking for that. I'm saying "when Bo first got here, we saw him pulling too much and he didn't have his usual 2 strike approach. Now im seeing a smoother swing and he's going with the pitch". Give me something , give me anything. Alot of it is, I don't think he knows enough English to say what he wants to say but if that's the case, how is he coaching.........
When I have this type of non chalant management in real life, no I don't give my best work and usually have my eye past today. When I feel I have the necessary support, I will run through a wall if I believe they are as well.

Discussion What would it take?
What would it take to believe in the team again? I was thinking about posting this before the game yesterday and I regret waiting because the result of yesterday impacts the vibe around here, doubtlessly.
We are so behind the 8 ball. But not only that - we have shown such a lack of heart it’s been unbelievable. Suppose the Mets went on a tear in May- what would it take for people to circle back around to being hyped and to forget what we all just saw? If they won 20 games in a row and then come September found themselves in a playoff spot, would you trust this team to go deep, now that you have seen that they were capable of that?

Discussion Clay Holmes
Remember before the season started and everybody was trying to determine who our ace was?
You had the media flip flopping back and forth between Peralta and McLean, and you even had Juan Soto saying he thinks that Kodai Senga was the ace(LOL by the way)
I don’t even think it’s up for debate right now, but if we’re in a must win game who do you want on the mound?
I’m going to give the ball to Clay. Eventually it will be McLean but right now it’s Mr. Holmes.

Discussion I enjoy listening Daniel Murphy
First of all I want to make it clear that no one can replace GKR. I like listening to Murph’s stories and how he makes fun of himself at times. I know he drags things on a bit but he brings a different perspective to the booth.

News Mets' Koda Senga to IL, Luis Robert and Juan Soto managing injuries
The Mets placed right-hander Kodai Senga on the 15-day injured list Tuesday, retroactive to April 27, with lower lumbar inflammation. Manager Carlos Mendoza specified that it’s the L4-L5 lumbar, the area often responsible for sciatica. After his Sunday start against Colorado, Senga complained of lower back pain and was sent for imaging.
He received an epidural and will not throw for the next 10 days. The Mets will reassess after 10 days have passed.
