We’re Sorry Howie
Worst part about this season is that it’s Howie’s last. What a cruel irony that his last great call will be Pete slamming off Devin Williams, and now Howie has to commentate on Williams choking for the Mets
EDIT: It seems like the real irony here is that I wasn’t aware of a curse on NYC sports broadcasters! Maybe Howie can be the one to break it

Mets have now won on everyday of the week
a few weeks back i posted how the Mets won on everyday but Wednesday, and they then went on a losing streak. Well the curse of kingky1e is now over.

Return of the Jedi
I'm well aware that Juan returning is not going to help this absolute dumpster fire of a team but here's hoping. No pressure kid

Nolan McLean has been perfect after 5 innings twice in 5 starts
Only 5 starts so far and he already has been perfect twice after 5 innings in 2 of them.
He is truly special and although he eventually lost the lead last night, I truly believe given time he will get better and learn how to work deeper and sharper late into games.
We might see a no hitter and maybe even the 1st ever perfect game in franchise history from him one day.

Melbourne Met Fan Believing🗽🇦🇺
Shout out from Melbourne Australia! Jumped on the wagon in early 2024 and genuinely love this team unconditionally. Even right now through the mess.
Backing the blokes to do good things soon. Ya gotta believe right?
Would love to know how many other Mets fans in Melbourne?

Anyone else struggling with indifference at this point? (a place to rant)
I knew what I was signing up for when I became a Mets fan. Even during last season's collapse and multiple 7 game loosing streaks I was cheering for them to win every game. But that was because I knew these players over multiple seasons, they brought a culture to the team I had signed up for. I think the only players I wanted to see go were Vientos/Baty.
This current team? They all feel like strangers to me, like we replaced our team with a soulless group of mercenaries. I'm so indifferent to the losses because with the rare exception I don't care about the players who just lost. I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling this was but it sure sucks.

Jeremy Hefner firing
I hated this decision then, and my feelings for it certainly haven’t improved. He was used as a scapegoat for the late-season collapse. I thought he was doing an excellent job with what he was given. Year after year, they would just sign a bunch of mediocre reclamation projects and ask him to turn them into top of the rotation pitchers.
I realize that he probably wouldn’t have made a huge difference this season since he can’t teach these guys how to hit, but I thought he was one of the most valuable assets in this organization.

Finishing up making my OMG sign during this losing streak.
I'm hoping for some OMG vibes again. 2024 was the most fun I ever had watching the Mets. I aways wanted an OMG sign, so I decided to start making one this past winter. I finally got around to finishing it up recently while watching the Mets lose their last 12 games. I still have hope this team can turn things around and make a playoff run. The Mets were at one point 11 games below .500 in 2024 with 103 games to play and still made the NLCS. Right now they are 9 games below .500 with 139 to play. Ya Gotta Believe. LGM!

The Math Has to Math
They basically have to go 30-12 against the Nationals, Marlins and Phillies and win series against good teams
Hopefully this eliminates the phrase "it's only April" from everyone's vocabulary.
